This deck is centered around being A) potentially viable in standard and B) being a budget deck. Hence the abscence of cards like Kalonian Hydra, which would obviously be amazing here. Also that is the reason for the lack of Rare Dual Lands.

The deck thrives off of mana acceleration into a Prophet of kruphix, and then being able to cast card draw spells like urban evolution or divination on your turn, and then flashing in creatures on their turn. Witchstalker is a core creature in this deck because it helps halt agro with its high toughness and hexproof, evolves our Gyre sages, and serves as a win con in tandem with Thassa and Bow of Nylea. Thassa should rarely, if ever become a creature in this deck, but she is crucial for card selection with scry and the unblockable ability, which is essentially our win con for this deck. I'm most on the fence about the 3 CMC on the curve, I'd love another creature to help us live long enough to get a prophet or Prime Speaker on the table.
