Here's my first attempt with the unique new Commander (Ezuri) that leverages a couple of my favorite styles (counters, tokens).

Preface: My usual group has a few preferences that factor into my build. The three main things we generally frown on are infinite combos (solitaire or instant-win), mass land destruction (unfun), and excessive tutors (land fetches and ramp are fine). The goal is to have different games every time we play, none of that Tooth and Nail for your WinCon combo that often results in the same game play every time. We prefer the randomness. As a result, our games are almost always long games (2-3 hours on average).

This deck build focuses on non-stop creature aggro, using spells with synergy to counters and tokens. The goal is to cast Ezuri, Claw of Progress, get 3+ experience right away, then focus on developing a lot of big creatures for repeatable alpha strikes.

To keep the action going strong, we need good draw and respectable ramp. Aluren would be fantastic for this, but it's in my "maybe" list, generally because I hate cards that also help opponents. Instead we have big mana producers such as Gyre Sage and Fertilid, along with Boundless Realms. The mana curve is also fairly low to help with enabling the constant aggro we have planned. If it plays too slow (I haven't playtested much yet), I may create more space for cards like Wood Elves and Sakura-Tribe Elder. For obvious reasons, I want to try to keep most all the ramp creature-based, since any creature can become deadly with enough counters on them.

I am also experimenting with a couple tribal sets (elves and/or wizards), and an infect package for more explosiveness.

More to come later...
