Hey guys, so I've been constructing slowly and meticulously the cards you find before you. Feedback is obviously welcome.
Elusive Krasis
- Great card, evolves mostly everything in the deck, as well as is pump-able to sneak lots of damage in. Also, good defender. What more you want?!
Vorel of the Hull Clade - Absolute beast. That is all.
Gyre Sage - Two is enough for the cmc, and the pretty even distribution of green and blue symbols in this deck specifically, but in general an absolutely great mana-generator.
Zameck Guildmage - Great if you are stuck in a bind and need to get two or three cards in hand to spice things up. Also a great set up if you have a fed Gyre Sage, because everything with an extra counter on it is delicious.
Experiment One - Great one-drop.
Cloudfin Raptor - Great one-drop.
Crowned Ceratok - Though this cards receives some flak in competitive constructed play because people are extra-picky these days, I believe its a great four-drop, with a delicious lasting effect. Trample on every creature is pretty scary.
Renegade Krasis - Yeah, I just talked about being picky, but if this was 1UG it would have been great (and a lot more broken). As it is, an absolutely great card, goes very well with Strionic Resonator, which also kicks butt in an evolve deck.
Giant Growth
- Duh. Its half green after all.
Prime Speaker Zegana - I love her. So much fun to draw six cards and then double the counters for a 12/12 on the field. Oh and Crowned Ceratok? Here you go, trample away.
Simic Charm - Hexproof saves all day. Combat tricks all day. And, if you gotta swing for that last lethal bit of damage, or if you're on the receiving end of a Kalonian Hydra, then its super handy. Speaking of giant over-powered monsters, Kalonian Hydra is a must in any Simic deck. If only I had more :(
Deadbridge Goliath
- 4cmc for a 5/5, that for six mana can distribute 5 MORE counters? So much fun times
Drakewing Krasis
- Listen, I'm probably one of the 5 simic players that actually use this bad boy, but I cant tell you how many times I've gotten a counter or two on it, then doubled and quadrupled them, and then beat the crap out of my opponent with a 14/12 flying trample monster. But seriously, a turn three almost guaranteed evolve with evasion? Quite good, maybe a little under-appreciated, definitely underestimated.
Master Biomancer - Another boss of bosses. With a fed Gyre Sage and a
Giant Growth
, everything comes in with an extra 5/5 counter(s) on it: hot damn!
Give//Take - Also under-played, but a great draw advantage in a tight bind, or a solid 3 extra counters on that Master Biomancer or Gyre Sage for shenanigans. Yes, I invoked shenanigans.
Progenitor Mimic - I mean, copying a friendly Kalonian Hydra or Master Biomancer is win-gg-pack-your-stuff already, but the look on your opponent's face when you copy his/her favorite fatty... and then keep making more, and more, and rofl-stomping him; in short, table-flipping will commence.
