Simigari v.2

Standard*

skitzmaester

Sideboard

This deck is all about +1/+1 counter creating and manipulation. It is more of a mid-rangy strategy, but can smash at any given time for a massive amount of damage and has done so consistantly in my play testing on MTG:O. I took it to a FNM last week and went 4 wins with an additional draw due to time so I wasn't able to hit top but did take 3rd and would have most likely won the match that we had drawn.

So this deck relies on a lot of trick play utilizing bioshift as the main manipulator followed by vorel fun and double up support with corpsejack menace and rapid hybridization to continue the evolve mechanic and building counters and works well with undying. Varolz was put int over master biomancer to create more long run options for counter generation for the weenie creatures that have been killed up to that point and by turn 5 with a corpsejack could be the thing that creates enough for the win. The Ooze's and experiment ones' are fantastice while corpsejack is on the field and gives you a place to dump counters on should a supreme verdict find its way out or other removal. Bio-shifts again can keep creatures on the field with the undying mechanic and just pull it off of the undying to let it come right back in again sometimes even triggering another evolve, yay for combat tricks. Primordial hydra is our beatstick and a great counter generator, even more so with corpsejack in play followed by a well timed bioshift for double double the counters. Obviously my lands could use some tweaking, but it is what I have currently and the amount of 20 has worked out to a perfect balance for the deck's needs thus far.

The sideboard is decent, and mostly geared against my worse matchups which was hexproof and direct damage effects. I threw in a lot of extra removal effects for the aggro matchups if they were out pacing me and bounce effects for being able to clear up some room in order to get a single creature in for the kill. Other than that, it has been a fun deck to play giving you lots of options to work with as this deck can come out of nowhere for the kill. In my play testing there has been several games where my life was at less than 6 remaining, so I could maintain my amount of creatures in play and then swoop in for the win, mainly with bio-shift or a well timed vorel, accompanying corpsejack menaces (which gets really sick when there is two on the field).

Hope to hear any tweeks or suggestions
