Simology - Evolution

Standard GU (Simic)

Thanamar

Sorcery (3)

Revamped the deck quite a bit, shifting focus to what I sincerely hope is a more competitive approach. My hope is to get some input on glaring weaknesses as well as suggestions on how I might deal with the decks that would give me the most trouble.

The main goal is to build up a solid state of mana freedom with Gyre Sage and Prophet of Kruphix, and then use that mana to do cool things. My ideal winning move might involve throwing down a huge Mistcutter Hydra and then using Thassa, God of the Sea to make it unblockable.

Beyond that, my goal is to just get there. Experiment One and Omenspeaker help keep me alive a bit longer, and do their own cool things as well (being a stick later and scrying respectively). Master Biomancer empowers everything I throw down, which is always good. Polukranos, World Eater is a nice big stick to throw down, and can be used for some mass removal once I can afford to make him monstrous. Simic Charm makes a nice option for quick and easy protection as needed. Then I round out my defense with Syncopate , which is well-suited to such a mana-oriented deck, and the solid Dissolve .

That should about cover what I'm looking at right now. Suggestions are highly desired.

Well, "major" might be a big of an overstatement. There are some fairly significant changes, true, but it still functions largely the same. The goal remains, but the method is somewhat altered. The description has everything to say about it.
