Since you're running black, why not Hatred? Insta-kill a player and if you have Whip or Basilisk Collar out you won't lose anything.

Awesome concept, perfect name. +1

Although I like a bit of self-inflicted Black pain every once in a while, I think I am too much of a Jedi wuss to play this.

The force is strong with this one.

+1 for Star Wars and +1 for any deck that uses Draco :) Perhaps Insidious Dreams to stack your topdeck for a kill?

That's a pretty good suggestion, thanks!

Rings of Brighthearth for a lethal Volrath more often (double damage), and for making use of your lands to their full extent (fetches, temple, counting, etc)

I only have one copy of that, and it's needed more in Slobad. Thanks!

I can almost hear James Earl Jones's voice when reading that flavour text, very fitting for Vader.

I sometimes play a Volrath List online, and i honestly have to recommend Essence Harvest. it is wonderful for getting through those pillowfort decks. case in point: one game, one of my opponent's was playing selvala with every fog and wrath in GW. I didn't land a single hit on him. eventually, i was forced to resort to plan B: using diabolic revelation to fetch ulamog, vedalken orrery, essence harvest, and a tutor. then using the essence harvest to deal damage, then discarding ulamog, to shuffle my Yard back into my Library, then tutoring for diabolic revelation to begin the chain again, this time using vedalken orrery to respond to ulamog's shuffle trigger with essence harvest. it took forever, but it was sooo satisfying.

Thanks for the suggestion, Mastertoa. I think that's in already, though.

IF you are going to be discarding cards regularly you could try making use of a few madness cards for extra value. A lot of good ones came out recently like From Under the Floorboards and Asylum Visitor. There are also classic cards like Grave Scrabbler and Big Game Hunter.

Hey, thanks for checking out my deck!

Of all the options, I like Floodboards the most. Thanks!

Sheoldred, Whispering One, Living Death and Palace Siege should be in here so you get more recursion.

Herald of Leshrac is good for a chunk of damage from your boss and scares the bejeesus out of people if you get it on the field.

Dauthi Embrace might be more useful than trample

Thanks! I tried Herald, and he just wasn't splashy enough. It takes him a while to have a major effect and he wouldn't stick around enough to get more than a couple lands. I finally moved Sheoldred here from my other reanimator list. Dauthi Embrace is also back in the list from a brief side-out.

Living Death I'm not a fan of, simply because I try to go high rather than wide, and I don't want to help opponents by giving them more stuff to do with their creatures. Add the fact that I run Phage into the equation, and I'd end up playing around myself. Living Siege is just not up to snuff compared to the cheaper repeatable to-hand options, like Oversold Cemetery, Reclamation, etc. I appreciate all your suggestions, however, and I made use of a couple.

Great deck! As a fellow Volrath player I'm always happy to see different takes on him, and your list looks rock solid! Don't even have any other cards to suggest, so I'm just here to praise your work instead so +1! Also making Volrath into Lord Vader seems very fitting!
