Maybeboard

Six is a fast and resilient combo/beatdown toolbox deck. It has quickly become one of my favorite commanders to play since it has many interesting lines and having an approximation of Gaea's Will in the command zone is super strong. I don't know if there is an iteration of the deck that is CEDH viable but it could likely be fringe CEDH and in the top echelon of mono green decks.

This deck has been built with some notable restrictions, such as no fast mana and no creature tutors. Even with these restrictions, the deck can be goldfished to combo off and win on turn 5 ~25% of the time and pretty consistently on turn 6. The key to keeping the engine going and rebuilding is having lands in hand, which is what makes Quirion Ranger, Scryb Ranger, Vorinclex, and Life from the Loam so important.

MULLIGAN DECISIONS Highly recommend mulliganing for a way to play Six on Turn 2 or the deck is significantly slower. The deck has 7 dorks, Utopia Sprawl/Wild Growth, Exploration/Burgeoning, and Ancient Tomb, so 12 current "hits." Running fast mana could bring that number above 15 as needed.

TUNING THE DECK FOR LOWER POWER Taking out Ancient Tomb, Nykthos, Ashaya, and Scute Swarm will slow the deck down remove the combo pieces, and turn it into a grindy midrange deck.

TUNING THE DECK FOR HIGHER POWER Adding fast mana (Crypt, Sol Ring, Jeweled Lotus) and creature tutors (Survival of the Fittest, Boreal Druid) could likely push the deck to Turn 4 wins.

FUN LINES & COMBOS

ASHAYA - Our simplest path to infinite mana and landfall, as well as burst draw and other shenanigans.

  • Quirion Ranger & Mana dork tapping for 1 = Infinite Landfall
  • Quirion Ranger & [Dork that taps for 2+ OR Nissa/Tireless Provisioner] = Infinite Mana & Infinite Landfall
  • Bristly Bill & Any of the above = Infinitely larger critters & the above benefits

SYLVANT SAFEKEEPER - Tied with Ashaya as best creature in the deck. Protection and turns degenerate with a GY-to-Battlefield Lands dude

  • Aftermath Analyst OR Lumra = Sac your lands with the Lands-to-Battlefield trigger on the stack to get way more landfall triggers
  • Life from the Loam = Sac 3 lands to return them with Life from the Loam to keep Retracing cards from the GY

LLANOWAR DRUID - Untap all forests you control for each land in hand (when retraced). Can be looped on the same turn with Greaves or Concordant Crossroads

  • Dryad of the Ilysian Grove OR Yavimaya = Untap all lands you control (excellent with Nykthos); note of caution that Yavimaya untaps ALL players' lands
  • Ashaya = Untap all forests & creatures you control

BLOSSOMING TORTOISE with SPRINGHEART NANTUKO enchanted = pay 2 mana to mill 3 and put a land onto the battlefield

  • Nissa OR Tireless Provisioner = pay 1 mana to mill 3 and put a land onto the battlefield
  • Nissa AND Tireless Provisioner = mill your deck and put tons of lands onto the battlefield; Endurance yourself with your library in your graveyard if not winning on the same turn

[QUIRION OR SCRYB RANGER] + DRYAD OF THE ILYSIAN GROVE + IMPACTFUL LAND = Return impactful land to hand and replay it (Nkythos for tons of mana or Talon Gates of Madara to phase out 2 creatures

SHIFTING WOODLAND + AFTERMATH ANALYST in GY + 4 card types in GY = Turn Shifting Woodland into Aftermath Analyst, sac it for 4 mana to to return Shifting Woodland and all other lands from GY to battlefield at instant speed. Can be repeated for 8 mana repeatedly. Even better with Sylvan Safekeeper.

SOWING MYCOSPAWN - With 6 total mana available (Turn 3 or 4), cast Mycospawn tutoring Nykthos to Battlefield; use remaining 2 mana to activate Nykthos for likely 5+ mana, keep playing stuff. Basically doubles your mana.

Other interesting synergies include stuff like Quirion/Scryb Ranger and Yavimaya/Dryad in play, channel Boseiju to remove something, play a GY-to-Battlefield dude to return Boseiju to the battlefield, return Boseiju to hand with Quirion/Scryb Ranger and use it again in one turn. Similar simpler loops can be done with Boseiju, Life from the Loam, and a draw outlet as well. The deck has lots of layered interactions and is a blast to play.
