AgentGreen coz I'm dumb! lol
I went off my memory for cards and forgot to check out if there was anything decent in OGW.
Thanks for the reminder.

I'd personally prefer Mage-Ring Bully over Jhessian Thief just because the 3 mana seems a little clunky to me. I'm not 100% though because you do have quite a few of 2 drops already.

You can't underestimate how valuable the card draw from Jhessian Thief is.
With so many low cost spells my hand empties very quickly.
If she is made Unblockable by Break Through the Line she can give me an extra draw per turn.
Also the bigger bottom on her does help a bit at that stage of the game.

This looks good. I was thinking of a deck along these lines. My only suggestion would be Treasure Cruise/Dig Through Time.
January 12, 2016 2:55 p.m.
Yeah I thought about those two cards, Minelia5 but with the speed of this deck they will just sit in my hand doing nothing. The game should be well and truly over before I have the means to cast them.
The Delve also hurts two of my cards that have Spell mastery: Fiery Impulse and Exquisite Firecraft. Getting the 3 damage effect with Fiery Impulse is incredibly important.
Finally, I have two cards to give me draw: Jhessian Thief and Jori En, Ruin Diver.
Admittedly Jori En, Ruin Diver isn't great for draw, but she does facilitate it often enough not to ignore it.

I love this new archetype, but what I think really spices things up more than anything is Slip Through Space. It's essentially a Jhessian Thief soulmate, and can get you that effect but with ANY CREATURE. In this deck, I view it as an auto-include ;D It's also very cheap and spammable, essentially forcing through damage while cycling itself, thinning out the deck. Just a thought though. Also, I would certainly add some Titan's Strength to the mainboard. I can usually get turn 4-6 kill with my version, Jori Stormchaser, the Sky's Revenant. Good deck, I'm going to love watching this kind of deck develop.

Have you ever considered Zurgo Bellstriker? He obviously doesn't have prowess but he can still get in there for some quick damage.
January 12, 2016 10:47 p.m.
I tested with Titan's Strength and it was good, but all it took was one Creature to block it and I lost most of its value.
With a different card in hand I could have killed that Creature and still gotten damage through.
Along the same lines I wouldn't put Slip Through Space in my deck, but I'm sure it will work in other versions that people will make.
With so few burn spells that can hit either Creature or Opponent I need to fill my deck with as many as I can, and not waste the player burn on Creatures where possible.
That means I also need a lot of Creature burn spells.
I'll keep your ideas in mind, but for the moment they don't fit what this deck is trying to do.
January 13, 2016 7:35 a.m.
Oh and Zurgo is great for aggressive decks, just not for this deck.
He would water the concept down too much.
January 13, 2016 7:38 a.m.
I would suggest removing 2 islands for 2 mountains, as when I playtest I often have no red mana in hand.
January 13, 2016 8 a.m.
You actually play Titan's Strength after blockers step so it always gets through. Sorry for the double post
January 13, 2016 8:02 a.m.
Fizzz's idea is good. Argeaux, you mention needing both creature AND player burn spells, and this does the job wonderfully. At 24 lands, you could easily cast Fall of the Titans for 3 on turn 4 or maybe 4 on turn 5, killing a blocker, triggering prowess, and finishing off the opponent. And surge makes it even better. Sure, Crater's Claws gives you an extra 2 damage off of ferocious. Aside from that, its another sorcery vs instant scenario.
January 13, 2016 8:57 a.m.
Prima I have no idea why that is happening to you. I haven't been colour-screwed once. I've given an explanation for my mana decisions in the Description.
Let me give two more reasons for why I don't want Titan's Strength as opposed to Creature / Player burn spells:
Useless against weenie decks.
I would rather clear Creatures out of the way than have one sitting there making my Titan's Strength next to useless, and making me fall behind in tempo.
As said earlier I would rather have Creature burn largely for the reason given above. Every card I have that isn't Creature burn dilutes the pool of cards that ARE Creature burn.
Feel free to use Titan's Strength in your version of this deck.
I will test Fall of the Titans. It feels like it could be more situational than Crater's Claws but I'll try to keep an open kind for now.

Personally, I don't like Jhessian Thief, and would honestly just cut it for more non-creature spells. Maybe some counters to be honest. Even Negate is pretty good. I also like Stratus Dancer, but once again, it's all up to you.

I'd rather see Slip Through Space in here over Break Through the Line because it enables prowess, is cheaper on the CMC, and is a cantrip.

Also, if you are using the Prowess mechanic, I would almost certainly want Titan's Strength in the main here! I mean, you can literally, Turn 1 = Monastery Swiftspear, swing for 1. Turn 2, Titan's Strength + Slip Through Space and swing for 6. OR, just double Titan's Strength Turn 2 and swing for 9. You don't want the game to go on too much longer than turn 4 or 5, because your deck will get wrecked. 24 lands is too much for this deck to play out. Crater's Claws is slightly bad here because you cannot enable ferocious very easily, especially without Titan's Strength. This had a lot of potential to be super aggressive and finish them off with Burn BUT you need the right strategy. You're on track, but you just need more synergy.

Also, I don't like Jhessian Thief because a 3 drop that doesn't impact the board is not all that great. I would almost like to suggest that you go Jeskai Prowess, but keeping the same strategy intact. Then you could lower your curve with Seeker of the Way (also providing lifegain swings), as well as adding Defiant Strike (HELLO, this is still a card and perfect for this type of strategy!). And then run 1-2 Soulfire Grand Master in the sideboard for the mirror match up (more like against opposing aggressive red decks) which would allow you to stay ahead of them and ultimately win the race! Just some thoughts. The mana is very good right now with the fetches and fetchable duals. So it wouldn't be too hard. Plus your deck wants to function on as little mana as possible (pending Crater's Claws bites the bin) so that you can just have VERY good top decks. Also, Dispel should be in the sideboard here! You bring it in because people will play removal, and a 1 mana counter your removal spell will be game changing in this type of deck. I know I have been commenting on this a lot, but I love this strategy that Blue gets to be aggressive in standard, it just needs the right "fit".

Here's an example of what I was speaking of: Jeskai Prowess Finesse

Jeskai is only going to be good for a couple of months; after which it rotates out.
Anyone thinking of staying in Standard better start preparing for a post-rotation deck

I did a thing.
This is a Rubbish version of Sizzle
I don't like how it plays at all.
I can consistently wreck Abzan with Sizzle [OGW Prowess + Creature Burn].
I can with the Rubbish version ... but only if it has a lucky draw.
Problems:
Hand empties too quickly.
Can't get damage past Siege Rhino.
Have to spend one mana to activate the surge cost on Fall of the Titans and then don't have as much power with the Fall to do what I'd like to.
Slip Through Space assists one of my Creatures to get damage through, but I have others on the field sitting there doing nothing.
So basically all the problems I have already identified.
I think I have worked out what's going on.
My version actually doesn't work like an ultra aggressive build that likes to hit hard and fast and get things over with.
I can actually win mid-range games with the original version I built.
Anyway, you can play which version you want to. I'm sticking with the first one I made.
Here's the deck I've been testing against for the most part, although I've also beaten Dark Jeskai, GW Hardened Scales, Landfall, Eldrazi Ramp.
A Warden and his Rhino (ABZAN)
Good luck.

Just curious
Why use Scatter to the Winds in your sideboard as opposed to Void Shatter?
