Hi everyone, Ive been playing skred for a few months now after a short history of playing less interactive decks in modern, so far Ive been having a blast with this list and have seen improving results at FNM as the weeks go on. There are a few cards released in the past year or so that I have seen or included in lists, or have spoken to other players about that I am considering adding to my list in the main or sideboard
First is hazoret, i am almost certain that I will include hazoret as a 1-of in the main as it is a substantial body when both attacking and blocking, not only that but it is relatively easy to meet the condition for hazoret to become able to attack and block and the abitional ability is especially effective late on when I begin to topdeck useless lands.
The other 2 cards I am less sure about adding, the first is glorybringer, which I recently acquired from a trade with a friend, it seems decent as a threat and removal spell rolled into one, and is evasive and may catch opponents unaware. The problem with glorybringer is that it just dies to removal spells like path and terminate, which wouldnt fully deal with the other creature threats in the deck, so I am unsure if its worth the risk playing him. If Id did I would most likely take out a Chandra pyromaster, as Ive been largely unimpressed with her so far.
The third and final card is dire fleet daredevil, this seems, on paper, like a solid sideboard option against blue control decks, as it can not only use their own removal or draw spells against them, but it can also counter snapcaster Mage plays that may otherwise be problematic for us. It also has some application against something like jund (which isnt present at my local meta) to downsize goyfs and remove their threats.
That is my thought process, any help/constructive criticism is welcome, as Im still getting used to this deck and style of play, my current list is below, cheers.
