My take on deck:skullbriar-the-pimp-daddy-counter-king

Thanks to Kozelek for the inspiration and a solid platform from which I could work with. Changes I made were more in line with my own playstyle, and replacing some of the insanely priced lands (like Bayou, which is over $1200) with lands that are not only significantly cheaper, but I feel have more utility to them.

The goals of this deck remain the same as in the original: Get Skullbriar out and swinging ASAP, get those +1/+1 counters growing, and hit as hard as possible.

The most noteworthy changes I have made:

I added Sword of Light and Shadow to increase the range of colours I can protect Skully with.

Sol Ring is out, as the store I play at uses the Duel Commander rules for 1v1, so it was replaced with Blinkmoth Urn

Sculpting Steel was put in, allowing me to copy any artifact on the field that I need to (kinda like getting a second Pithing Needle

Archetype of Endurance to get Hexproof on everything.

Garruk, Caller of Beasts since there are only 3 creatures in my list that are pure Black, and so I can use his -3 at any time I have to, if I need just 1 more creature but don't have the mana. Also, his emblem is ridiculous.

Concordant Crossroads because who doesn't love Haste?

Mistcutter Hydra Because you can cast it for whatever you need it to be. And it has Protection from Blue, and can't be countered.

Ring of Kalonia and Ring of Xathrid]] because +1/+1 counters each turn, plus Regenerate and Trample.

Golgari Rot Farm and Golgari Guildgate for some dual lands, to replace some of the more expensive ones.

Shizo, Death's Storehouse for helping make things unblockable if needed.
