Sky Patrol (America R/W/U) Revised

Standard RUW (Jeskai, America)

Sideboard

This is the latest revised version of my last America (R/W/U) standard deck.

The main idea and strategy of the deck is to counter/detain/stall/mill/or burn your opponent to death. As you can see, that means the deck is very versatile.

Strategies explained:

Burn: I have 8 burn spells in the deck, including Mizzium Mortars, Pillar of Flame , and Searing Spear . The Snapcaster Mages can flashback these spells for even more burn damage to opponents early game, pesky creatures, and late game for direct damage. Tamiyo, the Moon Sage makes it amazing for burn because I can use these spells over and over again so long as I have the required mana costs.

Detain/Counter: This aspect of the deck focuses on detaining everything with Detention Spheres or Oblivion Rings early game and the continuing later with counters. If the opponent gets out a creature early game before I can counter it, I can always Azorius Charm it to top deck it, and then counter its next play. After all this, I will most likely have the mana and hand advantage where i can drop a bomb or game finisher like Angel of Serenity or Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius.

Stall/Mill: More of a side strategy for mirror matches and other slow decks. I will throw in the Counterfluxs for a guaranteed counter first off and also throw in the Supreme Verdicts to protect my Jace, Memory Adept to mill their deck to zero. The importance here lies with evasion with things like Azorius Charm and Detention Spheres. If needed, Angel of Serenity always can help to clean opponents side of the field. Tamiyo, the Moon Sage can tap lands or creatures to protect the Jace.
