There is nothing really special about this Affinity deck...it's just my introduction to the Modern format.

Pretty much the only way it differs from most other Affinity decks is that I am not willing to invest the money in Mox Opal right now. I had most of the other cards already. I am looking to trade for the Opals, but until then, I'll practice with a less than optimal deck.

I have tried to fill those 4 slots with more of what Affinity does best, but am open to suggestions.

Also, I am new to Modern. I have NEVER played a single game. I have played EDH and Standard. If you think Affinity is the wrong deck to start with, let me know. I just happened to have most of the cards for it. I have many of the cards for Melira Pod, but I think mastering that deck probably is not a challenge for a newbie to the format.
