This deck used to be Commons only as a sort of Pauper-Standard, but some options are just too good with our concept to not include, so it's under a rework with the same basic theme. Pauper version is here.
The idea here is utilizing Reckless Fireweaver for burn and Salivating Gremlins for hard hits while dropping lots of Artifacts for those landfall-like effects. To that end, Implement of Combustion and
Explosive Apparatus
have even more value when used and
Cogworker's Puzzleknot
gets us three triggers in all (that's an 8/3 Gremlins for 3 mana with a Foundry Inspector out). Foundry Inspector makes half the deck almost free and Pia's Revolution ensures fuel for the fire. Renegade Map goes well with Revolution, keeping our land drops consistent, triggering our damage dealers, and then coming back for more.
There's also Aetherflux Reservoir, which very well might get us the win, but by the time we can do that, we'll probably have just dealt enough damage outright. But it's a nice lightning rod for removal as a perceived threat, and is a cool alternate win-con. It's also important in giving us life to let us tank hits since we're creature-light and our central creatures have to stick around.
Let me know what you think. I want to buy this in paper to take to FNM but I'd love some input and I know some fine-tuning can be done.
I feel Pia's Revolution is really useful here, but I'm afraid to put in more than two since any more than one out at a time is redundant. We're also light on card draw, opting out of things like
Terrarion
and Prophetic Prism for a single-minded rush for damage. We're not weak to artifact removal since most are cheap and benefit just by casting, but creature removal could really slow us down. Some protection for our threats might be prudent.
