This deck is built all around vampires and their ability to crush the opponent fast and with deadly precision. Almost every card brings in a new threat that also supports its allies by either giving it a buff, granting it counters, or my favorite; first strike.
An average game may play like this:
T1 Mountain, or Cavern of Souls, or Blackcleave Cliffs with a Stromkirk Noble
T2 Any land along with either Blood Artist, or
Dark Favor
for a heavy hitting Noble ;]
T3 (and my favorite turn) You can deploy your Stromkirk Captain for first striking pleasure, or Vampire Nighthawk for some terror in the skies.
T4 This turn is all situational but you have a multitude of actions to take.
Bloodline Keeper
if you need tokens or sky control,
Olivia Voldaren
if you want to start stealing creatures, or Falkenrath Aristocrat if they don't have sky presence.
T5+ any card from here on out will help your team with either board presence or buffs. Multiple captains produce luls or you can just use Olivia's ability to kill tokens or steal creatures. If the opponent lets it get this far, Nocturnus brings in the rear for a fearful kill.
Honestly, I just need help with the sideboard. The deck is so strong and versatile as it is, what could I add to counter the meta decks? I already have plenty of kill spells for creature decks (green), many answers to token decks (olivia's ability, flying, first strike). I mostly have problems with decks that have Oblivion Rings and other white spells that disable my creatures. Blue is annoying, but with Cavern of Souls my creatures cannot be countered, just returned to my hand. <--(minor annoyance)
When the sets rotate, only a few things will go Blackcleave Cliffs, Go for the Throat . Those are easily replaced with hopefully a dual land from RtR, and another easy kill spell.
I have gotten 5th, 6th, 7th, with this deck, and that was before I updated it heavily. I will update results as soon as I play at FNM with the new version!
