Hummmm is this a coincidence or??? That was pretty much my first semi-serious deck even if I was just a kid back then.

Ha! A fun coincidence untrue, the slivers have indeed run wild together unknowingly all these years.

Unnatural Selection might be a better option than Amoeboid Changeling, especially if you're getting infinite mana. Standardize works, too.

Hey KuhlThing. I ran Unnatural Selection in here for ages but actually swapped it out in favour of Amoeboid Changeling for a couple of reasons - I can tutor it with Overlord's ability + it gains all the sliver hive mind buffs. I used to run both but decided that I don't really require redundancy for this effect as it's a bit of a win-more nice to have vs. a crucial ability, y'know?

If you are going to have the Sliver Queen and Heartstone, might as well add Ashnod's Altar.

this deck is good but check out my deck Looping Slivers, I believe its the true way to play slivers just infinite combo. turn 7 average. I only just started playing but the more I play it the better I realize it is. for example lavabelly + brood sliver instant ko nothing else matters you. oh someone killed one of them use Dregscape to unearth them. my deck has 50 plus infinite engine and they exist in your deck but you have allot off unneeded fluff. remove some removal and atleast add training grounds and morophon so you can assemble morophon, first sliver, sliver queen, legion, hive lord to get them all down for the price of morophon. or prehaps at least run a mana echoes combined with a sliver queen for unlimited sliver tokens and if you have your commander on the battlefield you can then use it to get every lava belly once you creat enough mana to search library 2 times and cast morophon and use him to cast lava belly and then just keep making tokens to kill your opponent

Poonga, you're right. Good call.

I think I get what you're trying to say jweiss293, but I'm not trying to combo out every game. I like the balance of control, combo and sliver horde action I've got going on. As for Morophon, the Boundless, yes it's cool but do you not find it a bit win-more? Cost reduction + anthem is great and all but 7 mana is steep - are you referring to some sort of combo tech that I'm missing or something? As for Mana Echoes & Training Grounds, they're already in here. Big shrug my dude.

Thanks ShiltonCDXX! Doombeard1984 is right, comes with the sliver territory, heh. To quote my own description: 'So you've made the conscious decision to brew a sliver deck. Step 1: A preemptive apology to your friends is a good idea.'

If you had an unlimited budget what cards would you add not including duals or lands?

ToolisMaynard, regarding cards I would add if I had an unlimited budget...hmmm. It's an overwhelming thought and way too much to just start listing things here, but I guess I'd just replace everything that isn't a sliver (lol) with nothing but the finest and most expensive draw, interaction, fast mana/ramp, removal & tutor spells. Shrug.

The new slivers are a bit costly regarding mana value but they look sweet for sure. Considering to dust off my own Sliver Overlord deck, as well, and give it a few more swings.

Forkbeard says... #19

For sure unwucht, they're costly but the unique effects make them worthwhile running. I've maintained a low average CMC here so between my mana base, ramp suite & mana dork slivers I'm usually just fine in terms of curve + mana in general.
