CARD DESCRIPTIONS:
MAIN DECK
With a budget deck without shocks, you need mana fixing. But also, IT LETS YOU DRAW A CARD!!! For two mana, fixing and it replaces itself. Perfect (thanks to CW for the suggestion)
Gavin Verhey gave me this idea. He says that you need a turn 1 play, and first strike is good when you don't have
Bonescythe Sliver
out.
: Again, helps with fixing. Also, it lets you power out a
Megantic Sliver
on T3 (see the second way I can win on T4)
Most important card in the deck. +1/+1 is huge, and with Predatory Sliver out, Hive Stirrings contributes 4 power to the board.
If I could play more, I would. Vigilance is very useful, and it's also a base 2/2 for 2.
: Another Verhey suggestion. It will break open board stalls very easily or just kill their best creature.
This is an aggressive deck. Haste is important for aggressive decks. Doesn't that warrant an inclusion?
Hive Stirrings makes two 1/1's. But if you have Predatory Sliver out, it makes two 2/2's. And
Megantic Sliver
gives you two 4/4's.
The second-most important card in the deck. Double Strike is so important. People think you swing for 10, and they'll win on the backswing, but no, you land a
Bonescythe Sliver
and swing for 20.
: Another card that will win you the game. Plus, it is amazing with
Bonescythe Sliver
.
Most powerful (and expensive) card in the deck. +3/+3 is good everywhere.
SIDEBOARD
My best way to win versus control. This will come in against Mono-Black, Golgari, Esper, and and other control.
Vigilance is important against aggro matchups, so this comes in against aggro matchups like Mono-Blue and Naya.
: For
Elspeth, Sun's Champion
decks. Also Assemble the Legion, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, and any other creature decks.
: Locks up quite a lot of problematic creatures.
: Just in case.
Flyers are something this deck can't deal with, so this comes in against Mono-Blue, Mono-Black, and any other decks with flyers.
My sideboard is a work in progress, and is what I need the most help on. Please, help with the sideboard.

Why I'm running Slivers
I get a lot of Core Set each summer, so I opened a lot and got a
Megantic Sliver
. I thought "Oh, that's bad. I would only run that in a sliver deck, and I'm not going to build one." But fate decreed otherwise, and I opened two
Bonescythe Sliver
s in the same Sealed tournament. So I had most of the cards for this deck, so I went ahead and bought the rest and so here's my deck.
