cptmacawesome I understand what you mean, but the important thing about it is that it takes land out of the deck, reducing your chances of drawing a land. Don't get me wrong, it will be taken out once Theros comes out for other mana dorks, but for this current deck, using Lay of the Land
helps me get land in my hand early, so I'm not as likely to draw it later when it isn't as useful. Does that help explain it?
