Gruul Splash"Some have said there is no subtlety to destruction. You know what? They're dead" ~Jaya Ballard, task mage

Basic Description:

Gruul ignorant aggro deck. Just put creatures on the battlefield fast and get rid of your opponent.

This deck is VERY aggressive and can cause massive damage very fast.

Card Breakdown

(in alphabetic order)

Mainboard

  • Boggart Ram-Gang : 3/3 for 3, attacks as soon as you drop it, deals damage in form of -1/-1 counters. Can you ask for more?! Incredibly good against persist creatures like Kitchen Finks.
  • Burning-Tree Emissary : A 2/2 for free. No kidding!
  • Experiment One: Solid one drop that gets big quite fast even with Kird Ape.
  • Flinthoof Boar : Basically a 3/3 for 2
  • Ghor-Clan Rampager: Cheap buffer of attackers in early game and solid 4/4 if you need one more creature out in later game.
  • Goblin Guide: 2/2 with haste for 1 is overpowered, the downside of this card is not that bad since it can allow you to know what your opponent will draw every turn.
  • Gruul Charm : Making your creatures unblockable by non fliers means huge damage to your opponent's face. Useful also if you are dieing because of those damn winged creatures.
  • Huntmaster of the Fells   : Too good to be left on the battlefield by your opponent. If it's not hit by a removal the turn he comes into play it will become a hell of a problem for your enemy.
  • Kessig Wolf Run: If your opponents managed to stall your creatures to midgame dropping solid blockers this land's ability will ruin their day.
  • Kird Ape: A 2/3 for 1 speaks for itself.
  • Lightning Bolt: THE burn spell.
  • Rancor: Gives two more damage and trample to your creature and comes back to you if it dies. Amazing card.
  • Zhur-Taa Druid: Mana producer that also work as a damage dealer. You've got to love it!

Sideboard

  • Giant Growth: feel like you need more fast damage? here it comes. Useful also as a "removal".
  • Manamorphose: Draw a card for free and it can also fix your mana to what you need.
  • Prey Upon: Classic green removal.
  • Sarkhan Vol: The Gruul planeswalker. Useful if you get lategame.
  • Slumbering Dragon : If your opponent manages to handle this deck's momentum include this to give it some later-game power.

Maybeboard

  • Protean Hydra : Nice in midrange but this deck want's to be faster than that.
  • Strangleroot Geist: Thought of replacing Experiment One with this but I think it's not worth the extra mana
  • Toxic Iguanar : Another potential substitute for Experiment One. Activating it's deathtouch should not be a problem and it would make a very good and cheap defender.
  • Vexing Devil: 4 damage pretty assured but I don't think this fits enough in this deck.
