As far as a mana sink, you could go with Ant Queen or Killer Bees. If you're looking for more win cons, what about Might of the Masses? I'm not sure what you would cut but it seems like you might have an excess of enchantments. All in all, nice deck there.

Sizzlewump,
Thanks much, for both the recommendations and the kudos!
Ant Queen's a great card but I'm keeping the deck to Saproling and Dragon tokens. Killer Bees looks fun too, but I'd prefer a generic mana sink (so I can use extra red too, but especially because Mana Echoes produces colorless).
I'll have to take a hard look at look at Might of the Masses though. I periodically playtest a Rith-goes-solo deck that's trades a bunch of the Dragons for more Voltron effects (plus more removal/protection). I could see the Might fitting in there nicely ...
Thanks again!

Whenever I play this, I have a hard time with protecting enchantments. Might want to look into Starfield of Nyx + Sterling Grove , Granted you are really wasteing the second ability of Starfield of Nyx but being able to get enchantments out of your graveyard plus using the sac ability of Sterling Grove to fetch enchantments then next turn bring it back with Starfield of Nyx.
Overall, LOVE this deck, its my first commander deck built and it is AMAZING!!! Keep up the good work! =)

Ancit2002,
Thanks so much for the kind words! I love this deck too, and I'm glad to hear it's working for you!
Yeah, Enchantment removal is definitely a weakness. I haven't had to worry about it much with my group, but that's a really great point.
I'm currently running some strong graveyard hate, so recursion (like you mentioned, plus things like Second Sunrise and the pricey Replenish) wouldn't be my first thought. But I'm not sure there's anything better. Maybe Reknit or Devoted Caretaker? Rattlesnakes could be an option too, like Karmic Justice. I don't have much ETB synergy, so while flicker effects like Sudden Disappearance and Flickerwisp could work, I'm not sure they're right for this deck. Hmm...
Of course, if I ever get a Doubling Season for the deck, I'm sure the Enchantment hate will ramp up dramatically. That would be a nice problem to have :-) ... in that happy case, something like drop-and-immediately-ultimate Elspeth, Knight-Errant might be best.
Anyways, thanks again! Partly for the kudos, but mostly for giving me a ton to think about!
December 21, 2015 2:12 p.m.
Anytime clayperce!!
I am currently running Doubling Season, Collective Blessing and Dragon Tempest and they just say "Nope" and the enchantments are gone. I will think about Elspeth, Knight-Errant and/or Privileged Position

Ancit2002,
The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of toning down the graveyard hate and adding recursion. Faith's Reward, Eternal Witness, and Verdant Confluence are some more potential options.
Another rising issue is stemming the counterspells. They're still bearable in my group, but I can easily imagine a day when I'm going to need to add some combo of Dragonlord Dromoka, Vexing Shusher, and Grand Abolisher ...
December 22, 2015 8:56 a.m.
I can definitely recommend Vexing Shusher. It's an amazing card. Just be sure that you have more than one mana open per spell. Your opponents can respond to vexing shusher's ability.

In case anyone did not know. If Rith, the Awakener hits with double strike, you can pay her abilities casting cost twice and get twice as many tokens out at once.
December 28, 2015 8:07 p.m.
Ancit2002,
A quick clarification: It's twice as many tokens on the second strike ... or 3x the tokens overall. For example, if she connects on the First Strike step with 5 green permanents on the battlefield, she'll generate 5 Saprolings. If she then connects on the normal Combat Damage step, there will be 10 green permanents on the battlefield, and she'll generate another 10 Saprolings.
That's part of why I love Strionic Resonator so much too :-)

Oh my, That I did not know... Thank you clayperce for the clarification.

Saproling Generator Suggestion: Ulasht, the Hate Seed Really nice token generator. Especially if you have a way to flicker it at all or recur it.

Do you think the new Nissa from oath will be good in here? She basically creates saprolings.
December 28, 2015 9:39 p.m.
Zerienga,
Ulasht, the Hate Seed is a great card and I ran it for a long while in the deck. It has good synergy with the +1/+1 theme but proved to be inconsistent in the early game and I pulled it as part of the 11/27 update. I've added some mana dorks since then, so it's probably worth a re-look!
demonicgrizzly,
Nissa, Voice of Zendikar (link) would probably be a good fit, but like Avenger of Zendikar, she generates 0/1 Plants. I'm trying to keep the deck to Saprolings and Dragon tokens only.

The deck is prety solid already so +1.
I read you description and you said you dont want to put in tutors, and i dont know if you view land search as tutors sooo, take this paragraph with a grain of salt. Basically you have a TON of mana dorks and a few of them (like Gyre Sage) can be taken out for ramp spell. While you don't have a ton of basic you would still benefit from a Cultivate and a Kodama's Reach, and to get non basics Tempt with Discovery is a stupid good card. Mana ramp spells are going to streamline your deck amd make ot more consistent. Those are lands that aren't going to be bogging down your draw step because you've already got them and you can get to the game winners faster. Additionally you are walking a very scary line with just mana dorks as ramp, if you are mana screwed and you're only keeping afloat by mana dorks and your opponent kills them or board wipes what next? And if you are mana flooded the dorks are (almost) useless.
Another small suggestion I have is more based on personal preference. I see you have Spirit Mantle like cards in your Dec, and while i understand that you want to get your commander through, it a personal distasteful of mine to have aura voltron cards in a deck that isnt completely voltron just due to the fact that Rith can still be killed and the aura falls off and you can never ise it again. Id replace at least on of them with Whispersilk Cloak. Give protection from removal and unlockable, problem solved. And if Rith gets boardwiped you can always put it on him again later. Honestly Id get rid of the other one as well and put something like Eldrazi Monument in its place.
Small suggestions now:
Id put in Grasp of Fate over Quarantine Field, i don't know how relevant it is for you to remove two of one opponents things, but for significantly less mana you can hurt all opponents with grasp.
Whether or not you decide to remove some mana dorks you have alot and i feel like you deck would benifit alot from a well fed Genesis Wave
Hope some of that helped!

Tiddilywinkus,
Thanks tons for the comments. I really appreciate your perspective!
I'm not opposed to land fetches (I was early on, but rapidly decided that while I don't like tutoring to win, I'm OK with tutoring to play!). The deal for me is that Rith really likes mana dorks, because she generates Saprolings for "each permanent of that color" ... but I love the relative durability of land, and how much fetches smooth out later draws. But I think you're right ... I probably swung the balance a little too far towards dorks. I recently added Cultivate and Kodama's Reach to my maybeboard, along with a Yavimaya Elder (I'm hoping a fetch dork might be the best of both worlds). But I've never even looked at Tempt with Discovery, and it looks great.
Your point on the resiliency of Artifacts vs. Enchantments is a really good one, and I totally go back and forth on the right way to Voltron up Rith. Unblockable or Trample is really important, since she has to deal combat damage to generate Saprolings, so I love the first part of Whispersilk Cloak. But I pretty much hate Shroud ... I ran Lightning Greaves for a long time, but just had too many misses (Forgotten Ancient counters, Strionic Resonator activations, Fanatical Devotion regenerations, etc.). But yeah, I should really relook Prowler's Helm (I ran it for a while, but swapped it for one of the auras!). Or maybe Ring of Kalonia.
I looked at Eldrazi Monument as a C15 reprint, but I obviously didn't look too hard, because it could be a great fit. I've been keeping an eye on Concerted Effort for a similar effect, but even with its upkeep cost, the Monument makes me smile. Because: Indestructible flying Saprolings. So thanks!
Quarantine Field is really just a mana sink. It's not terrible at if I have to, but it's superb at (easy late-game with Mana Echoes + Mycoloth ) and INSANE with 70:70: (OK that hasn't happened yet, but it almost did the other night with Mana Echoes + Rith, the Awakener + Vedalken Orrery ... which is exactly why I added a few X-spells recently) :-D
And speaking of mana-sinks: Genesis Wave = Wow ... I have no idea why I haven't ever looked at it before.
I really appreciate the time and thought you put into my deck.
Thanks again and draw well!

Eldrazi Monument is definitely an all star in my Rith, party of 200? and it needs a spot in here. The price wont get any better than it is right now. How has Bloodspore Thrinax been working out for you? I've been wanting to test it out but it seems kinda lackluster compared to what else I can be playing at 4 cmc.
Also, I have to agree with Tiddilywinkus on everything he said. Mana ramp is strictly better with cards like Rampant Growth rather than Llanowar Elves, unless you are running a hardcore equipment or land destruction theme. As a fellow Rith player, I understand the idea behind playing mana dorks but I still don't think it's worth it. These colors have enough trouble with card advantage as it is and mana dorks historically make it worse because they can so easily be destroyed. There are only a few I'd consider worth it such as Bloom Tender or Skyshroud Elf with all your colorless mana from Mana Echoes. If you want ramp that helps the colored permanent count, consider Fertile Ground, Utopia Sprawl and gang.
Also, how has Goblin Sharpshooter been working for you? I used to run him but I found him often too cute for my build, and even lacking in my jund token decks with lots of sac effects. It's always tempting to throw in a Basilisk Collar just for him :). Hope you had a Happy New Year and have had a blast playing Rith, the Awakener! So stoked on the attention you've been getting her on the site!

rockleemyhero,
Thanks much for the bonus thoughts on Eldrazi Monument and ramp approach. I definitely have some playtesting to do!
I love Bloodspore Thrinax; there are only one or maybe two pump effects I like better. I think I have more +1/+1 counter synergy than your deck though, so I'm less sure about how it'd play in yours.
I like Goblin Sharpshooter, but am not in love with it, and it's floated back and forth between my mainboard and maybeboard a bunch of times. At it's best it's a political card that swings WAY above its weight, keeping the graveyard decks focused on other people and serving as a small boardwipe rattlesnake/incentive for a blue mage to counter a boardwipe. I think it's "cuteness" is kind of an advantage ... nobody sees it as a threat, and I've never had it fail to resolve. But the pings can really add up, especially when there are a bunch of sac' outlets on the table. All that said though, at it's worst it's just a dramatically overcosted 1/1 that gets killed in a stiff breeze.
Hope that helps!

K34,
I think it's a great card for lots of decks, but not for this one. It only hits tokens (Rith could use Vigilance mid-game way more than any of the Saprolongs), I have plenty of Enchantments already, and I prefer +1/+1 counters (since they still work with Mentor of the Meek and Skullclamp).

So what do you mean by Goblin Sharpshooter being a rattlesnake and deterring board wipes? (Since they all hit the gy simultaneously he doesn't get more than 1 trigger I'm confused by what you mean)
January 3, 2016 10:28 p.m.
rockleemyhero,
If 20 creatures die, 20 instances of "untap Goblin Sharpshooter" go onto the stack. When the first resolves, he untaps and you receive priority. You can then tap him and put a damage trigger on the top of the stack, and rise-repeat until all the untap triggers resolve.

FYI: Found a Gyre Sage while going through cards last weekend! Swapped it in for the Voyaging Satyr.
