This is my grinding deck. I’ve changed probably 40 cards since I updated last so to sum up: the goal with Alesha is to mill my library or discard cards I can utilize from my graveyard. I’ve built the deck to be capable of doing just about anything given time and keep my opponents from developing any substantial advantage with renewable sources of discard, removal, and threatening combo pieces. Master of Cruelties and the Karmic Guide + Reveillark combo are the main alternate win cons, but grinding damage with Falkenrath Noble or buffing creatures with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed gives me an unbelievably prickly board of attackers. Fallen Ideal is also a shockingly perfect card for my commander, giving her evasion, power, a free sac outlet, and it returns to my hand when lost, making commander damage a realistic win con even without going infinite.

I’ve been playing this deck since SOI, and while it is a bit less focused in its goals than most other Alesha EDH decks, I will say it’s extremely synergistic, the only one I’ve seen like it, and can get itself out of any problem. Suggestions are always appreciated and I’d love to answer any questions

I'm sure I'll get a lot of flak for taking out Aurelia, and maybe I'm overdoing the power 2 mentality for My commander, but Masako the Humorless will allow me to block with those creatures that people don't want to kill for fear of recursion like Resolute Blademaster, Stinkweed Imp and Big Game Hunter. Not to mention its flash so I could play it from my hand if needed and it's a human. Garza's Assassin was initially exciting but when I realized I could only really use it once I was immediately turned off by it. Half my life to get a murder back? No thank you. I know I just put Anarchist in, but especially with these new additions, I realized I have 5 or 6 sorceries...which are all very useful, but if I lose my mana rocks that could be a real bitch, so Treasure Hunter took its place. Feel free to debate it with me I'm open to opinions. These transmute cards that i found are extremely attractive because they'll remove themselves from my hand for 3, give me either a 4 or a 6 cost card, which I have a fair amount of, and they're useful power 2 creatures in and of themselves: Dimir House Guard gives me a sac outlet and a nice avoidance ability, and Netherborn Phalanx almost always will take 4 life at least from each opponent. Pawn of Ulamog is free mana off my creature deaths. Not colorless unfortunately but it's also token generation AND sacking for Goldnight Commander and my death triggers. Between Butcher of Malakir, Blood Artist and Falkenrath Noble I could net 2 life and 1 mana off a single creature while my opponents lose 2 life and have to sac a creature. Hell yeah! This deck is not meant to be an ally deck but I have quite a few allies I could sideboard if i decided to be more aggro with my creatures and less removal. It broke my heart but I just couldn't find a place for drana, and I traded Zulaport Cutthroat for Falkenrath, so I'm down to 3 allies here. it's tempting to put in 10 or 12 that I have but I'd be taking the spots from my removal. Anyway, the decisions are made so well see how it goes! Feedback appreciated as always
