This is my first time building a deck. I got some of the new RTR block intro decks, some boosters, and went back to my M11s I had when I tried some years ago, just decided to try again towards the end of May '13. I want to start going to Friday Night Magic (FNM), but to my understanding FNMs are usually Standard. I seem to be having a hard time finding what is legal or isn't for Standard, but I'm hoping this will help.

I loved what I've read of the Golgari, and wanted to employ their "feed life to the dead, and dead to the living" idea. I want Corpsejack Menace to double tokens on guys like Lotleth Troll or anything with Forced Adaptation, I also wanted to "feed" off of my opponent's life to regain mine (Lifelink and Extort primarily).

I have some quick cast creatures to hold the fort and die (for one reason or another), I also added some plusing enchantments, and intend on using some Scavenge, but buffing up creatures with counters and eating off of my enemy are my biggest goals.

I'm sure there are plenty of "what in the blue hell were you thinking?" moments in here, but that's why I'm looking to open my sights on what else is available.

As of this posting, I know some of my preferred cards are on my Maybeboard instead of the Mainboard, but I just wanted to get better perspective before moving forward.
