3/1/2016 Week 2 Note: This is my first completed MTG Deck ever! I'm very new to the Commander format, so suggestions would be much appreciated! Shoutout to Giga-bites Cafe + Raven's Nest!

Most Kaalia decks utilize her to plop down massive threats early on. These decks usually run out of steam and are quickly overwhelmed when challenged by the rest of the pod.

The point of this deck is to NOT defeat your opponents as fast as possible. My current take on a multiplayer Kaalia deck is to take advantage of how fast she can create a superior board state in a blink of an eye. We utilize combos + synergies to quickly develop and MAINTAIN a powerful board state. It's not as quick as your typical Aggro Kaalia deck, but it's still respectably swift.

Threats:

The Threats sections is incomplete for now. I need sleep. I wanted to at least cover some of the Threats you don't traditionally see in most other Kaalia Decks.

Erebos, God of the Dead Despite the fact that this enchantment gods are not triggered with Kaalia, they synergize with her surprisingly well. The point of this deck is to build a board state in a blink of an eye + MAINTAIN it. As INDESTRUCTIBLE enchantments themselves, they are bit underwhelming. When Kaalia starts coming with with huge creatures, these 'underwhelming enchantments' resolve into indestructible creatures.

Myojin of Night's Reach Hard to Cast, his primary purpose is to have opponents discard their hands. By removing answers from your opponents, it should allow you maintain board pressure much easier.

Ramp:

Pretty straight forward. These mana rocks exist to help fix your mana base as well as develop your board state a bit faster. Ramp is also useful in case your land mana base gets shut out for whatever reason.

Protection:

Boros Charm & Ghostway Exist to protect your board state from boardwipes + bounces.

Possibility Storm Makes the game completely one sided in your favor.

Stranglehold + Ob Nixilis, Unshackled In my playgroup, combo decks are king. These cards are in place to help stall/punish decks that love to search for combo cards. The last thing we need is for someone to infinite combo when we have reigns over the current game.

Darksteel Plate is a persistent form of protection for key threats.

Grand Abolisher & Mother of Runes Serve as an additional layer of protection against counters and spot removals.

Card Advantage

Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Enlightened Tutor The best tutors that will fetch any missing puzzle piece to establish + maintain board pressure.

Necropotence, Phyrexian Arena The two best card drawing enchantments for black. They're easy to justify. Both are included to improve the chances you'll see atleast one of these a game. More card empowers us with more threats and answers. We also get more card draw with the inclusion of Erebos, God of the Dead, and Bloodgift Demon.

Land Tax Filters the lands out of our decks to draw into more threats.

Removal

If you want this deck to be as devastating as possible, Land Destruction wipes are where it's at. I personally don't run these because I've found running a STAX Kaalia route is generally unfun for those playing with you.

Council's Judgment An absolute must have removal for any white deck. This removal can get rid of any creature that has hexproof or shroud. In multiplayer, it has the chance to take out multiple pesky permanents. There is so much hidden value in this card!

Merciless Eviction, Wrath of God Board wipes (may include more). Our sense of security to make sure nothing goes way out of hand for our opponents. Has good synergy with Avacyn, Angel of Hope

Vindicate, Swords to Plowshares We need a form of spot removal in our decks. Should be easily justified.

Rakdos Charm, Wear/Tear Our Utility Removal Cards. Rakdos provides some graveyard hate + artifact removal. Wear and Tear can remove pesky both enchantments + artifacts.

Wrath of God Always nice to have.

Synergy

Sneak Attack & Quicksilver Amulet Different avenues of cheating expensive monsters into play! Of course, we don't want out deck revolving too heavily on Kaalia of the Vast.

Blood Speaker THAT RECURSION THOUGH! I truly believe almost every Kaalia deck should run this card. This serves as a recursive demon tutor.

Mimic Vat A card I don't see often in other Kaalia Decks. Since most of our creature cards have so many 'enter the battlefield' effects, this is a good way to keep duplicating the effects + creatures every turn once they die.

Academy Rector help serve as board wipe deterrents in the case we don't have indestructibility yet. It can bring in Possiblity Storm to shift the tides in our favor.

Strionic Resonator This artifact is nuts! It lets you copy triggered abilities for cheap. Imagine plopping two big baddies with Kaalia instead of one. How about tutoring for two cards with Rune-Scarred Demon? This card fits in very well with the theme of this deck.

Possibility Storm This card is hilarious. Messes with almost all decks except Kaalia, since she doesn't cast her creatures. Use this when board state has been established.

Reanimation

"To build a board state in a blink of an eye" That is the main goal of this deck. We have included cheap reanimation spells to quickly populate the board for very cheap mana. Since many of our threats have an immediate effect coming into the board, reanimation is a good way to proc these triggers a second time. Karmic Guide, Reanimate, Unburial Rites
