The idea here is (obviously) to take advantage of/abuse the effects of all sorts of counters. For the most part this will mean making creatures scary via a multitude of +1/+1 counters and swinging away, but there are a few sources of -1/-1 counters, and poison counters could even make an appearance. Plus there are plenty of interesting artifact counters to play with as well.
