Shimmer lets you choose a basic land type. However, it will still affect some non-basic lands like shocklands (Blood Crypt), dual lands (Bayou), the Shadowmoor lands (Leechridden Swamp), and some other weird ones like snow covered lands and Dryad Arbor/Murmuring Bosk

Great find Shimmer forgot all about that one , did you ever have a peak at elves of plenty fire power edh deck ?

It's pretty fun. And I never did, elves would be a cool EDH deck but I'd rather just go for mono-green beats.

it was a ramp and burn idea with x spells

Ah, just saw that you have a deck called that. I'll have a look

Have you considered Crown of Doom, as it can't be given back to you once you've passed it away?

@Caes It's certainly one that I've been considering. Might be throwing it in here instead of Sands of Time, but undecided as of yet.

Your decck is simply amazing ! +1

I only have one question:

How do you survive without dissuasive spells (Ghostly Prison i.e.) ?

lemmingllama says... #9

@Marenkai Zedruu gives us life, so that lets us sustain a little. We also have some ways to dissuade attacks such as Mystic Barrier, Solitary Confinement, Statecraft gifted, Teferi's Moat, Web of Inertia, Crumbling Sanctuary, and others. There are several ways of not dying, and the chaos we cause can also lock down the board state.

Anyways, thanks for the +1 and I'm glad you like the deck!

Ok thank you :)

This deck is like the Goat Simulator of Magic ! Let's wreck havoc on the board !!

lemmingllama says... #11

@Marenkai It's more like the Garry's Mod of Magic, since you start messing with the rules as well as the board.

Oh my god, I love this - you must be fun at parties! Who wants to play fair, political games of EDH when you could instead cause everyone to suffer from aneurysms? +1 for the true troll, the goat-man minotaur.

P.S. - I may just have to netdeck this, if you don't mind.

@thuzra I try to have fun at parties, then they get a little out of hand. Anyways, glad you enjoy the deck. Feel free to netdeck it as much as you want, although I'd love to hear back about how the deck does and if any changes you make work out well. It's a constant work in progress, so feedback really helps.

Anyways, thank you for the +1!

squose says... #14

To anyone wondering, without the nonbasic lands that cost over 3$ the deck is only 140$!

April 12, 2015 6:12 p.m.

lemmingllama says... #15

@squose It's actually only about $100 if you also cut Gilded Drake, Land Tax, and Counterbalance, all of which aren't really necessary for the deck to function.

Some of the Jinxes could be cool in this deck.

April 21, 2015 12:52 p.m.

lemmingllama says... #17

@milohenry13 Do you mean Jinxed Choker, Jinxed Idol and Jinxed Ring? They all are cool, but are also low impact. With this build, we try to make everything as ridiculous as possible, and so it is preferred to have high value cards rather than low value ones. Thanks for the suggestions though

Switcheroo might work.

June 11, 2015 12:29 a.m.

lemmingllama says... #19

@Scorpy Switcheroo is a bit too expensive for that kind of effect. A good card, but not repeatable so not really ideal. Otherwise I would be replacing Political Trickery with it. Thanks for the suggestion!

I must say thank you for this deck !

Since I play it at my local store during our "Commander Nights", people don't want me to play my other decks xD

But this deck made us have the most hilarious games ever xD

We can't have a game without someone saying "Dude... What the f*ck am I watching ?!"

June 11, 2015 10:38 p.m.

lemmingllama says... #21

@Marenkai I'm glad that you enjoy the deck so much! What's the craziest play that you've ever done with it? Either way, I'm glad that it is wrecking havoc wherever it goes.

gflutoman says... #22

EDH is all about shenanigans. If people can't handle a simple group hug deck, they should stop playing :P

June 19, 2015 12:10 a.m.

lemmingllama says... #23

@gflutoman Well, this technically isn't group hug. It doesn't do anything nice to people, it just gives them weird interactions and slowly decks people or makes them want to concede. Not much group huggy about it.

Manbeast75 says... #24

A friend had a similar deck, designed for just chaos. We affectionately referred to it as Group Sodomy

July 17, 2015 12:55 p.m.

lemmingllama says... #25

@Manbeast75 Yes, that would certainly be a good name for it. My playgroup just refers to it as "Fuck You"
