Hey guys so I'm new to magic and i recently built a deck. I usually only play casual with some of my nursing school friends after class. I recently got an invite to play in a legacy tournament at my local card shop. I really dont have any intentions of winning, just having fun and would like any suggestions as to how to improve this deck. As of right now i am mainly using my creatures as a defensive line so that the majority of opponents damage will come from other areas. I chose sorin and chandra because of sorins "oppents life becomes 10" and chandras "do ten damage to opponent". I put the H. second right in there because of the ten damage effect also. I put alot of red burn spells to try and waste out my oppents mana if they try to counter and to do damage along with 4 artifacts that allow me to copy those spells. With exquisite fircraft if i put enough spells in to my grave yard it cant be countered and then i can copy that also. Most of the black cards i put in there were for more of a control aspect to keep my opponet from being able to do anything while i burn them with direct damage hits. If i play thougtsieze i get to see my oppents hand and then they discard. If i also have a mindrot and there hand was good i could then make them discard. The sanguine bond and exquisite blood make an indefinite loop (although i'm not sure if i would get punched in the face for playing that in a tournament). The Diabolic tutors also give me the ability to find my planeswalker or another card i may need.

Ive only really played against three decks. I black /blue, white/blue, and red/blue when this deck was mono black. Pretty much everything i played would just get countered so i tried to have something for that. Please excuse the possible incorrect im still trying to learn the different deck names and they confuse me a bit because some of them sound kind of the same so i just kind of picked what i thought applied. Im really looking for any tips on how i can improve this. I feel like my plans are too all over the place and maybe not consistant enough. Ive doen a few shuffles and practice plays and i dont really seem have any mana issues. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, notsobrad
