I'd like to have that, but I'm not sure it fits. I'll check out your deck!

Get Vampire Nocturnus. For a mono-black deck its a must.

With the type of deck I have, it would be very bad if people knew what was in my hand. They would know what to do to counter it, like saving a a counter for Sorin's Vengeance and that would be pretty bad, so I decided against having Vampire Nocturnus .

You could just throw in a Witchbane Orb to make sure you are hexproof so people cant mill you. Also most people are not using dimir anymore, so i wouldnt really worry about people seeing your top card?

I'll try it out, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Most of the time I'll play a few cards that burn life, and I can get Bloodline Keeper transformed in a turn or two so I'll usually have enough power to finish it. But I will see if it works. :)

Yeah, also I have only played for like 7 months so I am relatively new, so im not sure if this helps at all haha, but good luck! keep checking out my decks, particularly my rakdos because thats the one im working on most.

I wasn't talking about milling, lol. I meant things like Counterspell , where they can save it for my best cards. I just don't like people knowing what's in my hand. I'm pretty new myself, I've only been playing for about a year! =]

yeah, by mill i mean counterspells also, and thats why i recommended the Witchbane Orb because that totally screws over any deck. In particular a Grixis Deck, i saw one get destroyed, the guy who had it usually wins every fnm but he didnt win a game once wbo got out

Milling is trying to get you to deckout, not countering.

Witchbane Orb wouldn't stop counterspells, since the counterspells are targeting the spell you play, not you. Hexproof for yourself would only help against things that target the player directly, not any of their creatures or spells.

I know it's got a high mana cost but Wound Reflection can be an instant win in a duel with Sorin Markov (if their life is 20 or higher) and forces your opponent to let you take an extra turn with Temporal Extortion .

Interesting. I'll add it and see if it works good! =]

So I tried it out and it works great! I took out a Temporal Extortion and added Wound Reflection . Even if I'm just attacking it's really helpful. Wounded Reflection + Cover of Darkness is an amazing combo! Doubt the attack for each creature. It could also be an instant win with Sorin's Vengeance . In a three way duel, Sorin's Vengeance + Sanguine Bond + Wound Reflection could even be an instant win. Deal ten damage to the first opponent and gain ten life, then make the second opponent lose that much because of Sanguine Bond, then they both lose another ten because of Wound Reflection.

I have a lot of fun with Blood Seeker and Pulse Tracker

I might consider Blood Seeker , but I don't think I'll like Pulse Tracker . He'll only infect a little damage before being killed by something stronger, unless I can get a few Lord of Lineage  Flip or Stromkirk Captain , but I'm going to have much stronger things by then.

I would remove Anowon, the Ruin Sage with Sorin, Lord of Innistrad , its a better card and lowers cmc

October 28, 2013 3:57 p.m.

glomdi says... #20

I'm just scared that with 3 colors I'll have to mulligan a lot and still not get what I need. But you're right about Anowon; I've played with him a few times now and he never seems to do much. It really sucks that it's at my upkeep instead of each opponent's, because they usually find some way to kill him before too many turns have passed. I will try seeing how Sorin, Lord of Innistrad works, though.

Well I would add in Blood Baron of Vizkopa since you are adding white and wanna get your most out of it.

Yeah it's a great card, sittin at $20 atm and you should run at least 3 of them since they aren't legendary.

Omg I'm sorry Kornex2000, I didn't see that comment until now! I don't know how I missed it, but yeah that's definitely a really good card. I will use that!
