Best you look at the comments attached to my last update (Feb. 27th). Comment #6 explains the deck fairly well. If you have further questions, I'd be happy to field them. :)

I myself like this deck as it resemble my first EDH deck that was not out of a box. +1 and this is the only one of my decks that could even feasibly compete with it Who Owns What?? (Melek Fun). Mostly by giving everyone everyone else's stuff and running with it.

There are some very distinct cards here that I would claim you are missing to strengthen the stax playstyle.
Many of these effects force your opponents to pay extra, or slow down untaps, but it doesn't stop them from EVER playing anything. That's not good. You want them unable to cast anything, ever.
Mana Vortex. Quickly locks all players out of the game in combination with Crucible of Worlds, also recommend Flagstones of Trokair in place of a plains if you want to run this kind of strategy as it even helps you ramp.
Want to hate on creature-heavy strategies? This one outright crushes them, Overburden (BFF with Tainted AEther)
Meekstone and Crackdown together with Frozen AEther, Blind Obedience or Kismet (The original Frozen Aether, run BOTH!) stop big creatures from ever doing anything at all. They enter tapped and stay tapped.
Want something even better than Linvala, Keeper of Silence? Damping Matrix. Utility creatures and artifacts are now completely offline.
Another way to quickly win a game in lockdown is through the use of planeswalkers.Teferi, Temporal Archmage shines in this kind of deck as he helps untap manarocks and lands when nothing else can untap and circumvents the creature taxes.
Another card I am surprised not to find is Tolaria West. It tutors for Tabernacle, Mana Crypt, Urborg, Boseiju, Academy Ruins, Maze of Ith, Bojuka Bog, Arcane Lighthouse, Homeward Path, even Cabal Coffers (Why not run this when you run Urborg?)
In the spirit of going after peoples manabases, Desolation is another card to wreak havoc. With this in play people will really think twice before they cast anything. You don't need Defense Grid when the consequence of casting a spell in your turn is losing one of the few lands they have left.
Don't you wish you could run Drop of Honey? You can, the timeshifted version Porphyry Nodes, which for some reason nobody knows about.
The world of Stax is a wonderful place, with many many more treats than what I posted above. Unfortunately there is a 100 card limit so I'll stop here. If you want more, just ask!

"Two words...I'm sorry...." No you're not :P
An interesting concept though: completely neutering a majority of decks you come across via hate artifacts and enchantments. How often do things slip through the cracks?

Coinman1863 Thanks for the compliment. I like your deck, it's really a cool concept. How does it play?
Sleazebag Thanks for the in-depth suggestions. Some of the things you suggest are things I have known about and chosen to not include for various reasons. Others are things I hadn't considered. Feel free to offer other suggestions, I am always open to expanding my options.
FinalExile Thanks for the compliment. To answer your question, some things do slip through, and honestly I'm ok with it.. It makes my losses interesting, and my wins sweeter, I like to play a game where my opponents do have a small chance, that way they're more engaged and don't simply scoop. Often when things do slip through, I am able to find an answer and stabilize.

Death Cloud - Removes everyones hands, creatures and lands. Leaves your artifacts and enchantments behind! What more could you wish for?
Herald of Leshrac - One of the more expensive options, although it quickly shuts down your opponents while ramping you further ahead. With effects like Tainted Aether, Overburden and Dust Bowl you can even destroy their lands to circumvent your own tax effects.
Land Equilibrium - Players are not allowed to have more lands than you. Stops those pesky ramp decks dead. Also hillarious if you sacrifice all your own lands and win through manarocks or planeswalkers.
Academy Rector - Another card I can't believe I forgot to mention! It is a must have, especially considering how easy it is to kill in this deck! Just choose not to pay the for one of the many tax effects and away it goes. Not to mention you can consider running cards like Decree of Silence now...
Humility - You'd be surprised at how many decks simply can't win with this in play. Worth mentioning that Celestial Colonnade works fine with this in play! Slow and steady wins the race. Also one of my favorite Academy Rector targets.
I assume you're already aware of The Abyss and Nether Void and would run them if you had them, but it never hurts to make certain so I'll mention them as well.
Now, one thing I see your deck isn't geared towards is discard. The most reliable way to stop things from going wrong is to not let people have cards in their hand.
Liliana of the Veil is a personal favorite here, as she doubles as removal and can destroy a player too. Then we have effects lke Necrogen Mists, Words of Waste, Bottomless Pit, Painful Quandary, Oppression
Mind's Eye + Words of Waste or Consecrated Sphinx is so goddamn hillarious.
Let's say you decide to add the discard cards, then Ensnaring Bridge is a must have. It pretty much says "Creatures can't attack"!
Enjoy making everyones lives miserable.

Nice deck! But I really think that black is unnecessary in this deck. You only use it for 7 or so cards in the entire deck. I think Hanna, Ship's Navigator or Grand Arbiter Augustin IV would be better commanders. All of the black cards could be easily replaced. Also, Enlightened Tutor is perfect in this deck.

Another creature to consider to really ramp up the enchantments is Zur the Enchanter very powerful especially if you equip Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots

Have you considered Righteous Aura or No Mercy? Also i feel you don't have a win con other than the rage scoops, which imo fits the theme of the deck, but please tell me if there are any that I'm missing

Ender666666 says... #22
Hey yoshiman95, thanks for the suggestions. No Mercy was recently cut due to it being reactive (I have to let them hit me for it to work) and a Destroy effect vs. Exile which is relevant when a Commander or other critter is suited and booted and all indestructible. I replaced it with more things to prevent the attack from getting through at all. I hadn't considered Righteous Aura. It is interesting, I like it, and may eventually find a home in here.
As far as win conditions go, yeah I do, but they are grindy. I can lock down the board with Bloodchief Ascension + Zur's Weirding , and deny my opponents from drawing another card again. EVER.
Luminarch Ascension and Myth Realized can both be frightening, and are very recurrable with Hanna, Ship's Navigator and Sun Titan.
Yesterday in a match, I had the whole table concede after having Sun Titan + Tangle Wire + Winter Orb down on a clear board.
Did that help you visualize the horrible grind that is losing to this deck? ;-)

I understand why you cut no mercy. Righteous aura is good because it stops commander damage And it doesn't target either. Yes i understand better now thanks for the explanation and +1 for me. I appreciate that you play this to bring commander back to the fun antimeta variant it was meant to be
