Perhaps throw in Paradox Haze . Can be used to either help you or hurt enemies depending on what you have out. With Kataki or Magus out, their effectiveness on a player is doubled. Put it on yourself though and you can gain a ton of extra life with Venser's Journal and Oloro. If you did throw that in, Dreamborn Muse could actually be a viable win-con against common blue top tier decks such as Azami who rarely have less than 6-7 cards in their hand. Coupled with paradox haze, that's upwards of 14 cards milled at the start of their turn.

cireretals Interesting suggestion.. Not sure if it's as strong of a fit for this particular deck though.

Necrotize Also excellent suggestions and possible additions... But for now, I feel like they would detract from the overall utility of the deck. Food for thought though.

I decided to pull Kataki, War's Wage in favour of Luminarch Ascension

Does anyone have thoughts on the current Toxic Deluge vs Black Sun's Zenith ? The reusability of Blue Sun's Zenith seems like it could be useful, although Toxic Deluge would be easier over all to cast and pay for.

Both are very good although I'd have to give a slight edge to Toxic Deluge because of the life payment instead. However, as the game goes on, Black Sun will become better and better, unless of course you have very expensive cards to play. That being said, both are wonderful and the Black Sun has the added bonus of the counters not going away at the end of the turn.

You could simply replace one of your other field wipes with one of them because both of these are situationally better. Can't regen -toughness spells to begin with so the "No regen" clause won't apply and Deluge utilizes life instead of mana, something you should have no shortness of. I'd recommend either switching out Wrath of God , Damnation or Supreme Verdict for Black Sun as it is superior in most situations and even when it isn't, provides a permanent way to weaken creatures that survive.

Necrotize That's kind of where I was too, preferring Toxic Deluge over Black Sun's Zenith due to easier to manage casting costs.

Good points about the other board wipes though... It might be worth me looking at substitution.. But which one? I'm almost leaning towards Supreme Verdict due to it's 3 coloured mana and multi-colour cost.. Uncounterable is a pretty strong ability to lose out on though. Hmmm..

Well sir, I have to say a big +1 from me, this deck is a true terror, I would hate to play against it. A have a few card suggestions for your deck that you may like. Storm Cauldron would be good considering the amount of artifact mana you're running. I'm surprised there's no Arcane Laboratory in here already, which can completely lock down the board when combined with Erayo, Soratami Ascendant which flips over to Erayo's Essence I also find that Silent Arbiter is another good way to slow down early aggro, and Fountain Watch is a good way to protect all your nasty nasty enchantments

You could add Humility and Night of Souls' Betrayal if you're interested in more creature hate and interesting situations, also Academy Rector could work good for you nice deck though seems painfull too play against +1

Or do the old Humility and Opalescence trick and watch people scoop due to confusion.

Thanks for the comments and +1's (you DID +1 didn't you?) ;)

heavencharge Yup, those two do combo nicely... I think that they might be a bit counter productive though, as I DO need a way to wind the game. Academy Rector is a great staple. I am refraining from using her though as I am trying to stay away from "tutor effects"... As it was said from someone in my playgroup, lack of tutor effects makes running Test of Endurance fair and less morally reprehensible.

PlattBonnay yeah, that combo would be annoying as anything! I am trying to avoid specific combos though...

I guess that's the real problem... There are just too many great cards that I could put in... I just don't want to dilute the deck and take it off of it's intended purpose.

I'm actually thinking about removing a few cards for more lands.... But what?!?
