This deck started with the Royal Assassin/Blind Obedience combo, so it's one of the things That's staying in the deck.

I was a fan of the Soul Sisters deck back in the day, but I'm not a huge fan of mono-colored decks in general. I know there are some out there that are just amazing, but it isn't really my style.

My style is this: semi-competitive/casual. I like to build decks that work, but they don't need to take first place at every tournament I play in. I might play in 1 tournament every couple of months so it's more important to me to build a deck that plays well and is something I think is fun.

That being said, the way this works is pretty simple. Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant and Suture Priest all gain me life when creatures hit the field.

Serra Ascendant and Ajani's Pridemate get bigger when I gain life.

So basically, the deck works like this: play creatures, gain life, creatures get bigger, attack with lots of creatures.

The other creatures in the deck like Tithe Drinker, Vampire Nighthawk and Vizkopa Guildmage all synergize with lifegain and dealing direct damage. Extort is an ability that I really like, so I'm trying to use it to my advantage in this deck.

As always, +1's and comments are more than welcome.

The comments were getting too far down the page for my liking and I figure since this is now my highest rated deck that it merited a proper description. I also changed the name so if you linked to it before and you care enough, you can update your links.
