Animar, Soul of Elements

The introduction into the R/U/G/Temur wedge was quite a different story. Intet, the Dreamer was originally my first commander for these colours, but eventually the allure of Animar's stompy potential hit me right in the Timmy. Thus, I've worked hard on the synergy of Animar and his army of beasts from every corner of the Multiverse.

My playgroup has a very specific style, pertaining to each player. Some play with what they have, and work with what they know. Some play specific builds that cater to their playstyle. Some play for second place. So this brings me to Animar. Spot removal in white and black is rampant, so the protection as a creature alone is amazing. Everyone's fans of boardwipes so I always try and have an out when Animar isn't on the board. Sometimes I can ramp into crazy hasty creatures, knock a player out and then have a boardwipe occur next turn. Counterspells are also common. So there's little countermeasures against it.

Overall, I find it fun because it doesn't need to use major/mass land destruction to get by, it can be very consistent and I can play a majority of my favourite stompy creatures from all colours.
