Imposing Sovereign is better than Cavalry Pegasus imo, Almost Pure is the deck i run, it is a white weenie deck that is geared to beat aggro filled meta's

I like it! +1 from me, and good look at FNM if you decide to go!

I like this. +1!
My friend plays a similar white weenies deck (or used to, he changed it to boros), and he successfully used Righteous Charge . Try it as an option just to push through a bit more damage early game for a kill before control or midrange can stabilize.

@flyguy: You know typing +1 doesn't +1 it, right? I don't think I need Righteous Charge , I mean I already have Spear of Heliod and Ajani, Caller of the Pride to help get more damage in.

I like it, how does it play against super aggro? Gruul decks with loads of burn and bloodrush?

Really fast aggro decks are actually a very bad match-up for this deck. In those match-ups we just have to hope we get a lot of removal and Precinct Captain is very good in those games.

This is Ben Starks Orzhov aggro lol, only difference is your running 3x Daring Skyjek instead of 4 and 3x Xathrid Necromancer instead of 2. Even the sideboard be almost the same haha anyways goodluck.

I was having trouble with the SB so I did literally copy it with a few tweaks but I had the deck idea before whatever GP he had played it at.

How does this deck answer Blood Baron of Vizkopa ?

InconspicuousPotato says... #11
This deck answers BBoV by killing them before they get it out ;) Or dealing more damage than they gain life and race.

I made a deck that was originally a copy of Ben Starks deck, however I felt it was a little weak to Blood Baron of Vizkopa so I remade it, adding in Agent of the Fates and Celestial Flare to deal with it while also using the heroic ability. If you want to check it out here it is: Your Fate? My Fate? Everyones Fate...

I like your deck and +1d it. I think I'll add Celestial Flare to the SB.

I would recommend a couple Blood Scrivener for when you start topdecking.

I don't like Blood Scrivener . Being hellbent isn't as easy as you would think and it lacks synergy with Brave the Elements and Xathrid Necromancer . It's also just not needed. Though I am considering a few Pain Seer s once BNG comes out :)

Fun white weenie deck, I like the sideboard, but for nothing over the CMC I think you could definitely get away with 21 or 20 lands.

@ChickenPickles (awesome name by the way): Thanks! Don't forget to +1! While I could get away with 20 or 21 lands, I prefer 22. 4 of those are Mutavault so getting too many lands if some of them are mutavaults it's fine, and 1 of them is a basic Swamp , so I want to have enough white sources. Plus I don't really need the extra slots. Thanks for the suggestion though, if they end up spoiling some card in BNG that this deck absolutely needs I might consider lowering the land count to make room.

How about Immortal Servitude ? For a later game comeback.
January 26, 2014 7:05 p.m.
InconspicuousPotato says... #19
Immortal Servitude is more of a build around card and not really right for this deck. I appreciate the suggestion though.

This is great. Great name. Fast build. I've seen similar builds at my LGS. +1. Although Daring Skyjek fits the flying bill (plus it's got the 3 power), it would be fun to watch Cavalry Pegasus make your killer hot dogs soar!

@GodzillaKingofMonsters Thanks! I tried the pegasus for a while, and he just didn't do enough. I just didn't want to spend my 2nd turn playing a 1/1.

how about Return to the Ranks .? In this build over the charms? unless you are using the charms for removal.

I'm using the charms for removal, but I am considering Return to the Ranks at least in the SB @Quadsimotto

Nice deck....I have a similar deck that is based on Athreos.

Maybe Whip of Erebos so anything that does end up in the graveyard get an extra use. It's also extra incentive for your opponent to return things to your hand. Otherwise looks bloody good.

Pretty sweet weenie deck. You won pretty quickly.2/0 against Consume This Game one T5 beat down by a massive wave of big power little guys. Game two took a little longer but had the same result T7 with Soldier of the Pantheon Pulling the weight and Spear of Heliod was stomach churning to see on T3 with 3 creatures already out. nice build and much luck with it at FNM if you decide to make and take it.
