This mail goal of this deck is to quickly build up creatures and then utilizing Sovereign Okinec Ahau to help those creatures overpower the enemy. Protecting the Sovereign is really important, hence the number of protection spells.

Ideal first hands will have 2-3 mana, at least 1 mana dork or mana rock, a buff spell and 2-3 creatures. I aim to get the Sovereign out by turn 3, swinging with him by turn 4 and eliminating opponents as early as turn 5.

This deck benefits greatly from low cost spells and creatures with synergies. Generally try to leave mana open by turn 4 or 5 to cast protection spells, as this is when you will begin being focused on by everyone else.
