The way the math works out for the "thinning effect" in a monocolor deck, on average you're going to have to wait until turn 20+ to see even one extra non-land card over what you would draw normally. This deck just isn't going to be in a game that goes that long. You're much better off using either Ichor Wellspring or Mox Opal , as other people have suggested.

The people telling you to play with Fireblast are right. Losing lands doesn't matter, because it's the last spell of the game.

Great deck, very fun concept. If you like Goblins and Burn, you might also like this Goblin Burn deck.

An awesome deck. I know a person who could use a deck like this. I'd add Zektar Shrine Expedition x4 to constantly bring out giant, powerful elementals to attack your opponent then exile them and play Fling x4 to fling those elemental tokens at your opponent.

Then again, New Phyrexia had some pretty cool goblin related cards and so did Zendikar. Fridays700 was right Price of Progress is an awesome way to end the game entirely!

I see you having problems with this deck. Trading two cards for 5-6 damage isn't as efficient as just strait up goblin decks or strait up burn decks.

alpinefroggy Problems? I have zero problems with this deck. It runs perfect and consistently. It's one of my favorites.

Rhadamanthus I know it doesn't make any sense, but I just prefer the Mycosynth Wellspring . And in the end, that's all that really matters.

Mox Opal doesn't work great. Metalcraft is inconsistent in this deck with the constant sacrificing. It's why I don't run Galvanic Blast

I'm considering Fireblast but I really like the way it runs without it. That's just me.

I have to side with Friday6700, this deck is boss !

As I always say, better to eliminate you opponents with a card that destroys them in a fiery land-related death than to just sit there and mill your opponents for everything like a weakling who can't attack with their horrible creatures.

I love me some goblins, but an overloaded Electrickery will ruin your day man. :)

The Izzet surely know how to cast spells that bring pain to all, and severe drops in the goblin population...

spartanvi Unless they're tokens or the Memnite you're going to take damage when they die. :) And then I'll play Brimstone Volley . And swing with the now transformed Tuktuk the Explorer .

Cool deck, Great Furnace could be good. when you have enough lands.

Great Furnace hurts when you play Price of Progress . I had it happen enough times that I just outright switched to basics.

I'd replace Goblin Arsonist with Goblin Guide - it has a much greater damage output and will deal way more before it dies.

ArrestedSnow says... #17

It's not really about attacking, it's about them dealing damage when they die. Plus Goblin Guide puts another 20 bucks in this deck and it's not really needed. I tested it with the guide back when I made this deck and I just liked Goblin Arsonist better.

Wow, seriously digging this deck ... I've got a Kuldotha Red running Goblin Grenade and Shrapnel Blast , and a Goblin Burn deck with the Grenade and Reckless Abandon , so seeing a deck with all 3 is pretty cool.

So, after playtesting a bunch with my goblin deck, which runs Fireblast , I can see why you might not want to play it. I have occasionally run into multiple blasts without being able to cast them for one, but they're still amazing in my deck. However, my deck works differently than yours, since I only have eight 2 cmc cards, and nothing higher, whereas you have twelve at 2 cmc and nine at 3 cmc, with the same number of lands that I do. Additionally, when it whiffs, it can whiff hard. My decks low cmc average recovers much more easily from that.

Well, it still fits the theme wonderfully, and while I still have a hard time seeing how a couple copies doesn't fit a burn deck, I definitely see why you keep it in the sideboard.

Are you able to consistently find the right sac targets, though? In my Kuldotha Red deck, I often find myself with goblins and Shrapnel Blast or Kuldotha Rebirth , or artifacts and Goblin Grenade , which is eminently frustrating.

ArrestedSnow says... #21

Yeah, I don't typically have a big problem with the wrong sac targets. It happens sometimes, but not enough to worry about. That's why Tuktuk the Explorer is fun, he works with all three sac engines.
