I see your point here. However adding an evasive 3 drop with haste can help in my opinion (as the deck has no flyers at the moment).

Another creature I found that might be an interesting option (as a one-of instead of a copy of Anax and Cymede) is Tajic, Blade of the Legion or Brion Stoutarm.

Another idea I thought about is maybe taking out Ordeal of Purphoros and a copy of Lightning Bolt for:

2x Lightning Helix and 3x Artful Maneuver (can trigger heroic twice and gives a nice boost at instant speed) or Brute Force

Brion Stoutarm is nice but Fling over Brion. You use Brion multiple times, but his combo cost is 3 the first time. Not good in hyperaggro.

Correction: his first combo costs 5.

4/4 and lifelink is already good for 4 mana, the ability makes him even better.

Talking about instants, Temur Battle Rage comes to mind as option for this deck.

Another creature I consider playing is Hero of Oxid Ridge which seems very good.

Dennis14, I really appreciate your input, but I don't think you're quite grasping the deck's strategy. The deck doesn't care about its own health because it's built to win by turns 3-5. That makes Bolt better. There's nothing I ever want to cast turn 3 besides Anax or the Hero. Fling effects aren't that efficient here as the creatures in the deck aren't super tough until they've been targeted for heroic a bunch, at which point I'd never want to fling one. Finally, why use Battle Rage when half the creatures in the deck already double strike and I have Boros Charm? Again, thank you, but what you're describing is much more midrange where this deck is hyperaggro. The only thing I'd really add here is Preeminent Captain.

just reading the first part of what u say about the first creature is not even the strongest while being insanely strong at the same time sent shivers down my spine very good deck and indeed hard hitting 1 upvote from me:)

Glad you liked it. It's a SUPER strong deck. It can race the fastest burn or aggro (it regularly stomps my friend's Tier 1 Selesnya aggro/mid deck) and secure kills well before control can clear the board. Its toughest match up is probably against a durable midrange like Abzan, but even then, with a good draw you can punch right through their line and win in a single swing. Of course against combo, if you can't win fast enough to stop the combo, it's over, but that's the case for most decks.

Maybe add a Blood Moon to hose down stronger decks like Tron, or even a couple of Kataki, War's Wage or Stony Silence to hose affinity

Have you considered siding four Cerodon Yearlings to replace Boros Swiftblade against red? I've been playing around with this deck and the only deck that consistently beats it for me is red aggro. The Yearlings aren't as aggressive as the double striker, but vigilance still lets you swing for two on his first attack and then block a goblin or swiftspear on the next round. The haste usually ensures you'll get at least one attack out of him. I'm finding that Swiftblade tends to get nuked in this matchup before he can get pumped to really make use of his double strike.

I've definitely had fun with the deck. Is Mark of Asylum perhaps worth a sideboard slot? having your opponents burn only have your face as a valid target is really quite good in a lot of cases and it takes it's share of sweepers out of play as well.

Glad you guys are all having a good time with this deck. It's one of my favorites! Sorry I haven't been around much to comment. Been busy, recently decided to go back to college for Bachelor's degree #2.

zombiesocket - I think that would be an excellent addition, especially based on meta.

DSNesmith - I haven't run into that issue too much in my own games, but I can certainly see it happening. I think that would be a solid choice to protect against that.

I think these instants can work well in this deck:

  1. Crimson Wisps - killer combo with Fabled Hero and Haste+Cantrip for 1 red mana seems great overall.

  2. Mutagenic Growth - can be cast for free and surprise opponents.

  3. Blades of Velis Vel - similar to Martial Glory.

  4. Apostle's Blessing - can help against affinity in the sb.

I've been playing this deck and it rips ; it's super fun to wreck people with.

I recently encountered Zada, Hedron Grinder and thought that he might fit in well here. Although this deck plays so smoothly, that I don't know what I would sub him in for. Do you think he's worth it as a sideboard option for late game destruction?

An interesting option might also be Rubblebelt Maaka that dodges counter spells and Inquisition of Kozilek and can double as a creature in late game.

The downside is not triggering Heroic but it is still great with double-strikers like Fabled Hero and Boros Swiftblade.

Test of Faith should be awesome in this deck.

Dolmen Gate, Harm's Way and Mark of Asylum can be good sideboard options.
