What about Weapon Surge or Rouse the Mob?

I think that cheap equipment like Silver-Inlaid Dagger and Bonesplitter can be good here as well with the double-strikers.

Aside from the equipments not triggering heroic I'd have to agree silver dagger would offer constant pressure when top decking

Love and have this deck! Wondering if there would be any updates to make it even better now that we have two more sets out? Or any suggestions to make it even more competitive.

Thanks!!!:)

Very cool deck. I tried it and I would suggest adding Phalanx Leader instead of Boros Swiftblade. Martial Glory gets much more value when you target both Phalanx Leader and Anax and Cymede and give everybody +2/+2 trample. I'm also trying 2 Abzan Falconer instead of 2 Anax and Cymede. Flying feels stronger than trample when you know what you're playing against.

Bought this deck recently, had to cut certain cards so it was in my price range but used it against my friends (who aren't half bad) in a recent tournament and won 13/15 games! This deck (if you use ya brain) is savage when it wants to be. Had x3 titans strength and a Fabled Hero who was unblocked one game, GG! :D

Also Center Soul is a killer choice for this deck. Not only does it give a target creature protection against a specific colour, it also rebounds! That means even a base Fabled Hero deals 6+8 over 2 turns for a total of 14 free damage all from 2 mana, pretty crazy when you think about it :)

I feel like Rush of Adrenaline is a better pump spell to replace Titan's Strength with, because the ability to put trample on your creatures without the need for Anax & Cymede means you have a more consistent early game and can buff a Fabled Hero to oblivion and not worry about him being double chumped even with Madcap Skills. really useful against aggro and token decks that have no problem throwing bodies to block.

Hi everyone! I know it's been a really long time. I'm just popping into all my decks to let everyone know that the reason I went dark for so long was because all of my decks were stolen and it really crushed my desire to keep playing. But I'm super happy that everyone has continued to enjoy and have success with my decks.

As for questions about upgrades based on new cards, I'm probably not the best resource anymore as I stopped following trends shortly after the theft. That said, this deck was my pride and joy and I hope to hell that you guys have been able to beef it up even more. I see that Rush of Adrenaline suggestion up there and I like that a lot.

Keep it going guys. Thanks so much for supporting my work while I was around, and I hope they all keep kicking ass for you for some time to come!

Man, I have no words....

This deck is 2 years old and I yet had not seen anything like that, IT'S AWESOME!!!!

congrats man, I'm probably buying this deck soon, regardless it's a bit old. Maybe gonna add some new cards, but I pretend to keep it 99% as it is now

That's great to hear pedroolavo22! Let me know what you swap in and how it plays! I've been away from the game for so long, I'm not familiar enough with newer sets to know if anything from them would benefit it.

As the metagame is very very agressive right now, I'm considering maybe 2x Boros Elite or Monastery Swiftspear to ajust the mana curve, and taking out 1 Anax and Cymede or a Martial Glory. Anyway, it's a work in progress, suggestion are really welcome!

If you're really trying for speed, a cheaper alternative to Sacred Foundry is Battlefield Forge. If you can run down your opponent faster than the life loss, it could be a valuable addition.

Wondering if you could swap out or sideboard a couple Boros Swiftblades for some Sky Terrors?

I'm playing this deck in 2018 and it's still going strong! I replaced Boros Swiftblade with Swiftblade Vindicator. She's an obvious upgrade that only loses to turn three Goblin Chainwhirler. Two cards I'm considering is Tajic, Legion's Edge and Chance for Glory. I'm hesitant to cut an Anax for him, but the benefit is he gives our creatures protection from removal like Chainwhirler and has haste so he can mentor a creature like Fabled Hero or Swiftblade Vindicator the turn you play him. I wonder if there's room for Chance for Glory. It's an all or nothing card, but the deck theme is win hard or die trying, right? Finally, should Rush of Adrenaline replace Titan's Strength? I like the scry but I've been in situations where Fabled Hero could easily kill if he wasn't being blocked. And the turn three kill combo with Favored Hoplite + Ordeal of Purphoros + Boros Charm + Titan's Strength still works with Rush of Adrenaline.

I was even thinking instead of 4x Titan's Strength you could test 4x Integrity // Intervention or 2x Integrity // Intervention + 2x Rush of Adrenaline. Integrity is good because you can cast it for white. It's flexible and has a nice burn spell that can be helpful later in the game. Also if you cast both halves you could get two heroic triggers.

Hi Liaramancer! Just popping in to check on my decks and read your comments. I really like the changes you've made! I think I'm going to get these cards and do some playtesting myself, see if I want to make them official! Thanks!

Hi again Sagarys. After playing this deck in the current Modern format here is what I found out. First off it's explosive and definitely still lives up to it's name. Swiftblade Vindicator is a perfect upgrade for Boros Swiftblade. She's seriously an all-star in this deck, and her only drawback is she gets countered by Goblin Chainwhirler. Other than that, no changes to the deck.

Tajic, Legion's Edge is not better than Anax and Cymede and isn't worth using over Emerge Unscathed in the sideboard. Chance for Glory can be fun in casuals but I wouldn't make it a mainstay because it is too conditional. I tested Rush of Adrenaline and Integrity / Intervention against Titan's Strength and it's obvious Titan's Strength is better. The scry is just too valuable for consistency.

How about Feather, the Redeemed ? Seems perfect for the deck, if you cut the enchantments and focus a little on instants and sorceries.
