I could take off 1 Crumbling Vestige and 1 Unknown Shores to add 2 Dread Drone Panzerforge ?

I like Dread Drone, Math404, but for the cost he's just too susceptible to removal, and only gives 2 Spawn.

That and I'm a bit obsessive about the land count in this. I've tinkered with it a lot, and found a happy balance with this.

replace Chandra's Fury in the sideboard for a Electrickery

how about Battle Hymn? :)

lonker, while I agree that Electrickery is generally a better card, I found that Chandra's Fury fit the situations I needed it in better.

This deck generates a lot of mana, but is a bit slow on the damage at times. Chandra's Fury gives me a double-duty of direct damage (a nice round 4 of it) and token/chump death, for only more than a kicked 'Trickery.

Plus this gives me the ability to elude that Chandra and Emrakul were somehow romantically involved during their time at Planeswalker College. (Emrakul dropped out, and that's why she's having parties and working at the moon now, while Chandra is running amok.)

amanarpl, I like the Battle Hymn idea, but what am I pouring all that mana into?

I'll have to look and see if there's anything like Banefire that might work with in Pauper...

I have been looking at doing a Modern version of this deck, and that could really add an edge. Spend with 8 spawn tokens on the field, get 8 mana, tap the rest of the lands, sac all the spawn, cast Banefire, watch the BBQ.

It's a thought.

Thank you for the good card!

Hi, i tried your deck and loved it but i couldn't win fast enough against a mono-green elf deck and found myself in top deck mode pretty quickly so i thought about making room for maybe 2 Distant Melody. The mana base can totally support it as is so no need to add any islands. What do you think?

this is probably legal(for the most part) in modern, no?

November 7, 2017 7:36 p.m.

Panzerforge says... #15

Shiv3r, yep, the mainboard is modern legal. The sideboard would need adjusting.

@panzerforge I might actually build this deck becuase why not? a modern deck and a pauper deck, 2 birds with one stone!

Nice! Really digging all the synergy.

My only recommendation is Hissing Iguanar. Make every creature sac'd or lost in combat ping your opponent to get that much closer to victory, and even if your opponent blocks everything you've got, the damage will add insult to injury for every creature they lost. Paired with Impact Tremors it helps you really get your money's worth, and adds a nice extra zinger when you cast Hand of Emrakul.

This is very legitimately the best post I have ever seen on this website.

I like it, but i needs a playset of Impact Tremors and possibly a few Khalni Gardens

I know the reason why you’re running Hand of Emrakul is because you can pay its cost by sac-ing Spawn, but why not also run Ulamog's Crusher? By the time you get enough Spawn to cast Hand, you probably have enough mana to cast Crusher (with assist from the Spawn), so maybe you could run a copy or two? Plus, the extra number in the Annihilator trigger goes long ways.

Cool deck, would love to see it in action! There are better filter lands than Unknown Shores. Cave of Temptation and Crystal Grotto both offer more than just filtering and these small things can make a difference sometimes.

AmoeboidChangeling you're right, Crystal Grotto would be a welcome addition, the scry would be amazing. Only thing I would miss is the existing lands are all Eldrazi themed in their art, but that's something a little creative alter work can fix...
