Sideboard

Maybeboard

It came to me in a thought one time while I was trying to get to sleep. It wouldn't leave my head. "What if I try and make Spawnsire of Ulamog work?" it said over and over.

Before I knew it, I had an entire game plan and combo ready. And here it is! It works...technically, but it's about as consistent as runny diarrhea.

Your aim is simple. Go infinite with Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth and use them to hard cast Spawnsire of Ulamog, get its effect, and shit out every giant Eldrazi in your sideboard! From there, you will gain an extra turn, draw a minimum of 4 cards (with a maximum of 11), gain control of your opponent's next turn, have all coloured permanents sacrificed (and have them in turn come under your control), destroy a permanent and exile 2 more, have a total of Annihilator 18, have your opponent exile the top 20 cards of their deck and a total stat count of 109/113. If that doesn't spell "instant win" then nothing will.

I have listened to advice and included a second combo, Auriok Salvagers + Black Lotus.

How do you plan on doing that? Well, by playing as consistent and engine as possible.

As I'm sure you can tell, your sideboard pretty much solely exists to be gotten off Spawnsire of Ulamog. What's left is essentially just a bunch of hyper-specific counter cards that can be got off Karn, the Great Creator and an extra copy of Basalt Monolith in case your first gets screwed.

The reason that I am using Rings of Brighthearth over Power Artifact is because it is easier to search a 3 mana artifact with cards like Trophy Mage and Perplex than a 2 mana enchantment.

I am seriously considering running Zirda, the Dawnwaker. Not as a Companion, but in the main deck.
