Hey everyone! I noticed there was a real lack of token decks in standard so I made an esper spirit deck. The deck relies on spirit token beatdown to win, using cards like Lingering Souls, Midnight Haunting, and Doomed Traveler combined with the anthem effects of Drogskol Captain , Intangible Virtue , and Angel of Jubilation.

down here i will explain the choices of the deck:

Lingering Souls / Midnight Haunting: the bread and butter of the deck. Can be used for blocking and stall in the early game, but late game they can be a real powerhouse.

Drogskol Captain : this will pump up all my spirits and make them immune to removal. Solid three drop.

Doomed Traveler: this card is really flexible in the deck. Early game he can block and apply a little damage and pressure. Late game if he dies he turns into a spirit that will be pumped by the effects of my other cards.

Boros Elite : I know what your thinking, but hear me out. Boros elite's battalion effect can be easily proc'd by any of my token creation cards. Boros Elite can then be a relevant 3/3 throughout the game.

Azorius Charm: good for stall in the early game, but can also blow out a game with the lifelink.

Detention Sphere : standard spot removal.

Angel of Jubilation another anthem effect. Only this one pumps all my cards.

Sorin, Lord of Innistrad: Makes tokens and anthem effects. Fits perfectly in this deck.

Entreat the Angels: Wins the game if resolved. Making any number of Serra Angels sounds pretty awesome to me.

sideboard (i don't have everything tested out for the sideboard, so this needs more work).

Beckon Apparition: boarded against reanimator and any deck that utilizes the graveyard. Makes a token relevant throughout the game.

Blind Obedience: Thundermaw Hellkite wrecks this deck, so i'll need these.

Dissipate and Negate against control

Supreme Verdict against aggro.

Dungeon Geists against midrange.
