daretti-lockdown or http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/daretti-lockdown/ Thats the Daretti deck i use. It's competitive and its for 1v1 commander plays (frentch list). I hope it helps you. ps: Try not to focous to have many creatures in the deck and have more artifacts. good Luck

I think Braid of Fire is a nice addition to any red commander deck. In addition, I'm a big fan of non-basic lands. Don't know what you're shooting for price wise but Scorched Ruins is a favorite of mine.

Thanks midget_overlord those look like they would work really well with the expensive artifact effects like Tower of Calamities and Tower of Fortunes.

Kuldotha Forgemaster is really good with daretti. its a good way to tutor for artifacts you want and you can get value off of Ichor Wellspring and Solemn Simulacrum

A fun thing I do with my Daretti deck is I run Burnished Hart and Aggressive Mining. It's a good way to keep lands on your board past Mining's "can't play lands" ability, and you can continuously recur Hart with Daretti and Goblin Welder. Plus, if you have Rings of Brighthearth on the board, that 5 mana for 4 lands that ignore the "can't play lands" trigger. And another land that can get around that is Drownyard Temple, and it also makes a good target for Mining's card draw ability.

The name alone would get a +1 from me.

Feldon of the Third Path makes artifact tokens you can sacrifice to field the original target.

Aetherworks Marvel would work wonders in this deck.

Daretti can use Anger as jet fuel and Squee, Goblin Nabob as everlasting gas to consistently enable card your card draw. With the new reprint of Gamble you can actually fetch Squee with a 100% success rate as it actually doesn't matter if you discard him, or any of the other artifacts in hand. You probably can also use some free cards off a Spinerock Knoll.

Quicksmith Genius just sets up everything for free.

Ghirapur Orrery should be a breeze to trigger and abuse.

Rings of Brighthearth can be a little pricey depending on your needs. For a cheaper alternative you can just copy the triggers of the things he's pulling around (and so much more) with a Strionic Resonator which does a good job at hitting most abilities and being relevant without cheese rings brings. Depending on the deck this can actually be a lot more useful. Dragonmaster Outcast, Utvara Hellkite, and Hellkite Igniter are all typically underrated dragons if you wanted to up the dragon game. The last being a reliable wincon with even a small pump.

The last set has a ton of stuff you can slot like Scrap Trawler, Pia's Revolution, Gonti's Aether Heart, Hope of Ghirapur, Implement of Combustion, Inspiring Statuary, Servo Schematic, and Treasure Keeper.

Also +1 for the name.

Also Sundering Titan is banned in commander. Don't bother trying to cut for it.

Thanks the_earl_0f_grey that's a lot of pretty good additions. Makes sense that Sundering Titan is banned daretti would just have too much fun with it

Hey man! +1 for Daretti!!! Was my original and still my favourite commander deck!

I know you mentioned nothing too expensive, but some cards to add to maybe get down the road when you're willing to fork out the dough for them (probably took me around 2 years to pick them all up haha)

Metalworker is amazing with daretti, especially if you run a Clock of Omens to keep untapping him .

Extraplanar Lens is an insane ramp card, especially if you convert all your mountains to Snow-Covered Mountain so your opponents can't benefit from the double.

Winter Orb and Static Orb both work amazing when paired with Clock of Omens so you get to untap all your lands while you lock out your opponents aha

Another personal favourite of mine is Lodestone Golem

And finally, you get so many awesome interactions if you can fork out the dough for a Mycosynth Lattice, swing with Hellkite Tyrant with that out and you steal your opponents entire board lol. Also if you had a Karn, Silver Golem, you can pay the 1 to turn your opponents lands into creatures which immediately die. It's a great way to lose friends lol

Here's my current daretti deck Daretti of the Annoying Artifacts

Oh! Almost forgot! Alhammarret's Archive makes daretti' +2 a "discard 2 cards, draw 4" which is pretty awesome aha

GhostRunner those are some pretty nice combos, I've been wanting to get Mycosynth Lattice for a while it's just so expensive also hadn't thought of Winter Orb to go with my new Clock of Omens.

Any advice on Madcap Experiment, Throne of Geth, or Contagion Clasp are they worth cutting for and if so what would you suggest cutting

GhostRunner says... #18

Personally I only run Contagion Clasp or the engine in decks where I'm abusing counters, there are much better ways you could be spending 4 mana, I've never gone after ulting daretti, I just abuse him for card draw and recycling artifacts. Know what works WAY better than Madcap Experiment? Indomitable Creativity targeting your own stuff haha, really helps set up your graveyard too in preparation for a key Scrap Mastery. I'd also look at Mindslaver

cool deck, love Daretti!

Krark-Clan Ironworks goes great in an artifact recursion deck, and works especially well with daretti's -10. Pyrite Spellbomb is some extra repeatable draw/ removal, and Reckless Fireweaver is a good way to whittle opponents down over the course of the game :D

Some Honorable mentions:
