i'd add some mass removals aka Bonfire of the Damned and sided artifact removals. Otherwise Witchbane Orb and any token deck will ruin your game. Also liffegain decks are usually a big problem for burn.

i totally agree with the above except for graveyard prevention, i figured i'd use it to my advantage and use Ash Zealot

Thank you for some amazing sideboard ideas my good sir. Vandalblast is a sideboard must.

I think that you could use less lands and maybe add some Ash Zealots in the mainboard.

I think the land count should only be bumped down to, say, 23 IF we cut down on the number of Miracle cards; that would be 8 of them here (Reforge the Soul and Thunderous Wrath . Otherwise, when one's hand gets clogged with the buggers, we won't always have the lands to play them.

I think the land count is fine for the moment; again, if you get too many, Reforge the Soul is a useful effect. A Faithless Looting or two would also achieve similar results.

your deck is ready to lose at what ever tournament you take it to.

Bit harsh, oona_fei. Constructive criticism?

I think one thing you need to do is consider the meta. You need to be super-wary of Thragtusk because that will really ruin your day (not just with the lifegain). Centaur Healer too. These two are common in the meta with sort of midrange decks, and you'll need to think of ways to stop them or work around them.

Constructive criticism isn't really something that this deck needs, this deck has no business in the current meta game it scoots to just about everything I can't think of a matchup that this could win against. ok here's something constructive make it multicolored this deck can't possibly succeed.

October 27, 2012 7:55 a.m.

you should look at this deck it won States Indiana, and it does what you want to do but it winshttp://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=1062259

maybe don't bother with the dual lands and take out pursuit of flight for Hellriders...

oona_fei: That's not constructive. If you know that this deck is so utterly boned as it is, why? What changes you would make so that it has a better chance? As in, in detail this time? Rather than just bashing it over the head?

What oona_fei might be implying is that aggro/burn decks are going to have a tough time in this meta unless you have a really solid deck/plan. Midrange-y decks are all over the meta at the moment, from tempo decks with Geist of Saint Traft and the like, Bant decks with Thragtusk and Restoration Angel , and more. Also, Zombies are very popular and are going to be very difficult to burn through (think card:Geralf's Messenger or Gravecrawler . FNM might be fun with this deck, but a full-blown tournament may yield harsh results.

If I was playing multicoloured here, the two obvious choices would be Rakdos or Izzet.

Srsly Oona_Fei "Deck is bad you should feel bad" nice comment, not helpful. Maybe not everyone is as good at magic as you are.

Not that I don't agree, the deck doesn't look great, but I took Geyser Glider to my first FNM. I just didn't know what I do now.

If you're going to tell someone their deck is terrible, maybe you should spend a hot minute explaining why.

What torunament is this deck intended for? If it is for FNM, you may not win, but it'll be a lot of fun. A budget deck can't often compete with more expensive decks, but knowing that puts the pressure off and you can relax a little. I went to my first FMN with a deck that basically cost me 10 quid. It was a blast, even though I ended up with a 1-2 result.

Also; sideboard. It is very unvaried for a sideboard, and you certainly don't need 4 Vandalblast s. Why not pop in something else in exchange for two of them? Like say, card:Krenko's Command for some damage/blockers? Or maybe Rolling Temblor to sweep the board better than Electrickery (which won't really be enough to stop many opponents bar Lingering Souls ).

Yes FNM, >.> yeesh all that hate for a simple question, thanks for telling me what to expect and the nice new cards to think about. Cuz I mainly wanted to bring mono red burn back, but not sure how to handle a few of those problems, but that wont stop me from having fun.

I have both playsets of the 2 RU dual lands should i put them in and make my sideboard blue?

If you decide to make the deck multicoloured and you put in Islands and the rare dual-lands (Steam Vents , an Izzet deck would be a promising prospect and could open up a lot of possibilities. Delver of Secrets  Flip may be a good fit considering all the instants and sorceries out there, while Snapcaster Mage is getting a ton of hate and is expensive but is still complimentary to your strategy.

If you do this, expect the deck to change a LOT. In truth I am not the best person to ask about this, and you should ask for more help from more experienced Standard format players.

Im by no means a Standard expert, but I just quickly threw together an Izzet midrangy burn deck Izzet Burn/Aggro

If your on a tight budget you can just ignore this deck

if you insist on going mono red burn look into Chandra, the Firebrand and Flames of the Firebrand and Reverberate . just make the deck yours, learn everything you can about the 60 in your deck.

Rakdos Cackler , Rakdos Shred-Freak and Stonewright add aggression and creature protection/aggression to this deck without increasing the cost much.

If card:Devil's Play or Reforge the Soul help you, you haven't been aggressive or fast enough.

Mentioning quick creatures Lightning Mauler , Stromkirk Noble are good early options as well, while cards like Pyreheart Wolf make it hard for opponents to make good blocks early, while Instigator Gang  Flip is not as good since you want to play cards every turn, it is another good threat, and finally, I recommend Hellrider to help put the deck over the edge

xD all the previously mentioned cards were in the original and was told to -reverb+veng and just put in more burn. lol i'll figure this out. after a few fun tries against my friends i haven't lost yet. but i have a feeling there are some strong players at FNM so i'll see how well i do. thanks for all the help i'll post the results on Fri/Sat
