Let me say that I am an idiot for forgetting about Helm of Obedience + Rest in Peace. So in other words, probably keep Helm?

Also, Mechanized Production is worth keeping if you run enough taxers like Thorn of Amethyst or Sphere of Resistance because it makes it less and less likely for Productions to get removed, since it "keeps making spells cost more". Winning 7 turns after that is not hard, so I say that could/should probably stay in.

Hahah, no problem, friend! Hope you shut that deck down and show 'em that no one messes with Mother Russia!

freakingShane, what do you think of the list now? its still light on counterspells, but I have needle, revoker, and stax to make sure everyone stays in check.

I am liking it very much. I would recommend replacing Stasis for regular old Counterspell, or a better one like Force of Will, Pact of Negation, etc if you can. I just think that Stasis hurts you too much, especially compared to the Orbs and all of the other "does not untap" pieces.

Disallow is a great counter, but the lower the CMC of your counter magic the better. It allows you to play more when playing on curve. I'd recommend Counterspell, Arcane Denial, etc.

freakingShane, I think that should work, but I can't aford Pact of Negation, Force of Will, and want to stray away from archmage because its $15. any budget suggestions?

I know they are pricey...but I'd recommend looking into them if you ever have the money to spend on them! They can go into virtually any blue deck ever, so needless to say they are good!

As a budget Force of Will you could play Foil, for Pact of Negation you could do Daze, Remand, or another 1-3 CMC counter.

I have one final bit of advice and then I think the deck will be fantastic. I recommend upping the number of Islands you have and taking out some Plains.

I copied your deck and messed with the basic land ratio, and it looks like having 15 Islands and only 6 Plains is what you need to have a balanced mana base. Of course, this may not be necessary, but it may be something to consider.

Lastly, I'd say scrap Prahv, Spires of Order and put in Buried Ruin. Prahv is great for Azorius flavor and is a decent land in general, but I think Ruin is more synergistic with your "artifacts matter" build.

Anyway, I'm glad I could help at all with this deck! You did a great job with making Brago overlord of all, haha.

freakingShane, thank you so much for all your help (however extensive) with the deck!

Do you have any idea as to why the competitive meter on here went from 100% competitive to 84% casual?? That is bizarre..

Because that scale is broken and essentially completely random.

I stumbled across that not too long after posting this, haha. Thanks, Perpetual!

freakingShane: It was because I tried reducing the creatures even more than now and took out the rishadans, which killed the score as it was. I put them in, and it just didn't change back.

I feel like Fractured Identity could be a nice bit of removal/political piece here. Other than that, I like the effort that has gone into this in both the deck and the presentation. +1

Mj3913, thanks for the feedback, however, Fractured Identity gives my opponents stuff, which they can potentially use against me. Generally not ideal

Ok, well given the amount of artifacts/enchantments, maybe Hanna, Ship's Navigator would be useful.

Mj3913, I had Hanna in this deck previously, but it appeared too slow for any significant effect. This deck had changed so much since then though, I will try it again.

Venser, the Sojourner? Early, he flickers your stuff, and if you can ult him other people stop having fun.

December 31, 2017 11:35 a.m.

Epidilius, I used venser in the past, but he really suffered in my creature heavy meta. I rarely got two activations, much less an ultimate or of him. Not worth the 5 Mana investment. Thanks for taking the time to suggest though!

This looks like an incredibly fun control deck. Have you considered adding Sphinx Ambassador for a little more fun? Give it something to evade blocking and you make them guess or keep a creature. It's a fun bit of head game.
