@Redhookdave i really wanted to include her (this deck started as esper) but i found just being able to play the two colors made it way better.

FNMs bro :)

First off, I would be really careful about putting things like "Undefeated" because this deck CAN be defeated (I just did so in playtesting 2-1 against aggro and 2-0 against Esper Control) and it's simply not true. You can't judge if a deck is undefeated if you just play against yourself. If you do play on other websites or at FNM, mention that to make it more believable, but since you don't, I have to consider this only playtested against yourself.

Second off, I would recommend putting in something against mirror control matches (I mentioned that this lost against Esper control), and that's mostly because this deck has basically no answer to Silumgar, the Drifting Death. Also, Esper has very important counters, which sort of ruins the fun here.

March 2, 2015 4:43 p.m.

Also, if it is FNMs, I find it hard to believe that you got 27 straight wins from those. I mean, some of the cards weren't even out when you would have to start to have all those wins...

Finally, please note that this is not "Cruel Control". I have made that mistake too, but that hub refers to a grixis deck using Cruel Ultimatum as a win-con, in other words NOT this.

Ummm I have quite a large fnm (usually pushing 7 or 8 rounds) and all results are from fnms. Also to address the "undefeated part" i have been piloting this deck for a long time, it takes stupid amounts of patients to be played correctly. I feel this is not a deck you can just pick up in play but one you need to work with... if you feel me

Careful with Palace Siege and Nyx-Fleece Ram, as their life-gain simply halts with Erebos, God of the Dead. As for the tokens, Drown in Sorrow or Bile Blight rightly crush those suckers.

I only playtested it once against a Doomwake Giant deck I'm brewing (I'm no expert, and likely it has more work to make stronger, but crushed this deck). Once the doomwake hit, all the tokens disappeared and Elspeth was left wide open for take-down, if I didn't have my Hero's Downfalls handy.

Just saying I'm not a great deck-builder to have a solid win over a 27-0 deck. I did not build with your deck in mind - I built for indestructible, hex-proofs, and tokens.

March 2, 2015 5:03 p.m.

So you're telling me that you are the only one to be able to play this deck correctly, and so therefore that there is no way to prove your claim (because 27 wins in a row is damn near impossible unless A) you have a ridiculously broken deck (not here) or B) your playgroup sucks)?

It doesn't take a whole lot of skill to play this deck I think. It's fairly straightforward and all the times that I played it I really didn't have much of a choice, as I was stranded a good amount of the time. And in case you're wondering, I played this against a bud of mine, not against myself.

Ummm i have been playing this deck and tinkering it non stop. I will admit it has lost just not at fnm (which is the results i am using). But its only really bad match up is like some rogue burn deck i played (friend of a friend) an esper control which hasn't been played a ton(from my understanding. Now here's another edge I have over the others, no one has really seen or played a deck like this before. People don't know how to react or play efficiently against it, no one but me (and the people who have played against it) know what to expect. I understand it is easy to make up tales of an amazing deck on tapped out but I am a huge advocate of the deck. I'm just telling you to please try and learn the "in and outs" of the deck and give me improvements you think can be made and not meaningless hate. Also all my results are not fnm not self played.

Okay, so white black, why didn't you put in a Sorin, Solemn Visitor to give all your creatures quick life-link, and a small-ish flying vampire in a pinch? He would seem to work well in tandem with Elspeth.

March 2, 2015 5:25 p.m.

pudgeep says... #14

Um well he's okay but mainly (due to the lack of creatures) he is just a 2/2 flying vampire for four (yikes!). But mainly i just couldn't find room :p. THis is another thing i love about the deck is how many angles you can take with it. Early versions (before frf) played him and ultimately i was unimpressed.

If the wins were at FNM then he could just post his DCI number for people to check. If he doesn't then there would be room to doubt. I don't think it would be a bad deck, but I don't see it going for that many wins unless it's a really weak meta. Hand disruption would hurt the deck a ton, same with not drawing a wipe early on against blitz aggro.

pudgeep says... #16

Well idk what exactly your talking about consecutive "wins". Like round wins or game wins? I have lost games but not rounds. Also this deck was made to prey on my meta hard (abzan aggro everywhere, mono green, abzan midrange, and sultai control). This deck is by no means for a ptq or grand prix lol

March 2, 2015 5:30 p.m.

OK so that's a but clearer. In that case I would definitely take off the undefeated tag because you have lost to decks. Having it makes it look like this deck has never beat, which is not true. Sorry to be so "on top" of the matter, but there are so many frauds on this site.

I guess I would make it esper. Esper decks beat this because of counters and card draw, and you don't really have a very good answer to aggro.

March 2, 2015 5:39 p.m.

pudgeep says... #18

I apologize completely i will take off the tag man. I guess it should say like undeafeted at fnm or something like that. But i will drop the tag and just post fnm results from this day forth. But i actually think my aggro matchup is great post board and (decent) main because rams, sieges, drowns, blight, etc.

So his record isn't what he claimed then.

No its fnm record not overall games if that makes sense

March 2, 2015 6:59 p.m.

Whatever. Putting "First at FNM" or whatever will guarantee you the same number of views :)

Wow, I've been testing this and it just wrecks! Are you still playing this deck? I added a couple Erebos, God of the Dead main and upped the sheep up to 4. Put 4x Herald of Torment in Side. love it!
