So I just started playing Magic: The Gathering two weeks ago after a 6-7 years break. I started building this deck up around the Extort mechanic, but as I got my hands on more cards, I phased that out with Tithe Drinker and Blind Obedience as the only cards with Extort left. The idea is to keep the game going with removal such as Banisher Priest and Doom Blade while protecting with High Priest of Penance until I can start playing the more expensive cards such as Obzedat, Ghost Council and Archangel of Thune, which would be the cards that make me win the game. Maybe the deck is a bit too slow. I've also considered throwing in some green mana creatures to be able to play bigger creatures faster as well as some Thragtusks and Scavenging Oozes for more life gain. So far it has won 5 FNM matches, lost 4 and played 1 draw.
