@APPLE01DOJ Thanks! I honestly think it is a scary deck, and I can't wait to try it out this Friday!

I really think Extinguish All Hope should at least be on your SB. There will be a lot of matches like Mono Black Devotion that don't really run enchantment creatures.

Nice deck, I'm working on something similar, maybe it'll have some ideas for you. I like your plan to slowly siphon life with extort and constellation triggers. I wonder if you might want to add one big, late game bomb to finish opponents off. I've got Obzedat, Ghost Council in my build, maybe that would work.

Here's my version Orzhov Pillow Church

Any reason you're sticking to Orzhov? Splashing green would let you run cards like Eidolon of Blossoms for even more card advantage, and Mana Bloom for a bunch of extra constellation triggers every turn if you play it for x=0. I have a work in progress deck that is junk, and our lists are a bit different, but you can check it out if you want: Constellation of Pillows. I'm open to ideas. Nice deck though! +1

There are a lot of "hard to hit" color combinations in this deck (WW, BW, BBWW, BB) and I think moving to three colors can weaken the persistence of the deck, even with Mana Confluence . This deck also just wants to stall out to Sphere of Safety or Sanguine Blood. After that it's smooth sailing. In my opinion, green doesn't offer this deck enough to splash Green.

That said, there are some scary Constellation decks out there with Green at the moment.

I'll also add that I don't really like Mana Bloom in Green Constellation decks. All it's really used for is to hit Constellation triggers. I'd rather have that spot open for something that hits triggers and does something else.

I really like this deck and want to try it out! How does it do against R/W Burn? Seems like if you get off to a slow start the burn may be overwhelming. Anyways, sweet deck! +1

@JazzyNeff RW Burn has been troublesome for me. It's either a really easy match up or I get steam rolled. RW Burn can often burn through my life drain too quickly for me to win. Other times they can't seem to get enough off to dominate me. I've played the match up 3 or 4 times now but since then I've bumped up Aegis of the Gods in the side board to a 4-of and added a Doom Blade to slow down their monsters.

I've also added 2x Thoughtseize . It's pretty solid in all match ups.

I'm not sure its a good addition, but it would be fun to add a copy of Debt to the Deathless as a huge late-game spell to finish an opponent off.

@nashbridges52 That seems like a good card to run in an EDH version of this deck.

Is there any reason why Ethereal Armor isn't in this deck? I've tried a similar deck and it was great. Nice deck by the way! :)

trentfaris242 says... #16

Ethereal Armor is useless here. This deck doesn't require attacking as part of a win-con.

June 13, 2014 2:32 p.m.

shinobigarth says... #17

if it doesn't require attacking then why is Archangel of Thune here?

June 13, 2014 2:52 p.m.

trentfaris242 says... #18

Archangel of Thune synergizes extremely well with the lifegain/lifedrain we get from Sanguine Bond and acts as a closer in those situations that would otherwise be sort of stalemated.

Soul Tithe for removal, hits everything but Stormbreath Dragon and Blood Baron of Vizkopa

I dig it! I have been running a BG Constellation deck that has done ok, but I was thinking of just dropping green for white. This deck looks solid enough to make that switch. The reason I went with green over white is for Eidolon of Blossoms (obviously) and the tutor spells Commune with the Gods and Kruphix's Insight . White seemed like it didn't provide a good late game finisher, but I was so focused on only looking at enchantments. I guess it doesn't matter if your finisher is an enchantment or not considering you've been leeching them with enchantments all game. Kudos for a great deck and my thanks to opening my eyes up to a nonenchantment finisher, great strategy. +1

@eslaton7751 Exactly! I've had a lot of success with this deck so far (lots of top 8's at my LGS of 50+ people). The idea is to just sort of control and drain until you hit that big win con. Doesn't need to synergize at that point.

June 19, 2014 4:02 p.m.

Yes, definitely. I have just made a new list on here doing BW like this one and playtested it against my BG version. The BG got some quicker wins in, but if I landed a Sphere of Safety it was game over. Ofc that's without sideboarding and what not, but still it seemed like the BW version had way more raw power and resiliency. My finishers are Obzedat and Blood Baron but I also run 4x Master of the Feast paired with Fate Unraveler for those extra pings each turn. I found myself almost never attacking except early with Gnarled Scarhide and then just letting Grim Guardian and the Coinsmith do their thing. A lot of the times I didnt even need my finishers since the Constellation triggers are sometimes enough on their own. Anyway, I will be testing this out some more against other net decks and see what I come up with.

trentfaris242 says... #23

The BW version is also very consistent. I rarely have games where I lose to bad draws because it doesn't take much for the deck to get going. You just play the permanents you draw for the most part.
