It is a pure green-white aggro deck that features Gladecover Scout and
Witchstalker
enchanted by Ethereal Armor and other Auras.
Main Deck
Creatures
Gladecover Scout - 1 drop with hexproof makes it an easy creature to enchant up fast and get in some quick damage. Featured in this deck primarily for its hexproof right from the start.
Witchstalker
- 3 drop with hexproof, featured for the same reasons as Gladecover Scout in this deck. The second ability helps vs black and blue control decks and forces them to reconsider before casting during my turn.
Fleecemane Lion - 2 drop for a 3/3 is a very good deal, mana cost-wise. The potential to be hexproof and indestructible in mid game makes him hard to deal with if he can get it off. He is not featured mainly in this deck because he is often removed before he gets there, still a good beatdown creature for early game.
Fiendslayer Paladin
- 3 drop for a 2/2 but comes with First Strike and Lifelink, which are huge bonuses. He is partially "hexproof" because he cannot be targetted by black or red spells that opponent controls making him dodge most removal in game. Downside is that many of the Auras in this deck comes with something that he already has (First Strike or Lifelink) which makes it hard to want to enchant him, but a great fit in the deck so far.
Voice of Resurgence - a very powerful card that every Selesnya deck should be running. Combined with Witchstalker, it is great vs Control decks and its an easy sacrifice when facing sac creature cards.
Boon Satyr
- one of the few cards that provides tricks for the deck due to Flash + Bestow. Because it is an enchantment creature, it adds to Ethereal Armor's bonus whether its a creature or an Aura, provides some resilience vs board wipe if bestowed.
Spells
Ethereal Armor - the star Aura in the deck for obvious reasons, requires the other enchantment cards for its effects to be fully realized however, but gives my deck late game potential it needs. First strike has come in handy on many occasions as well.
Gift of Orzhova
and Unflinching Courage - both provide lifelink and a form of evasion, which has won me many games and makes damage hard for opponent to keep up.
Spear of Heliod - only 1 copy of this card but provides some flexibility for my deck in terms of limited removal and makes my creatures stronger.
Selesnya Charm - I primarily added this card for the big creature removal but the other functions can provide other neat surprises for my deck such as creating tokens vs sac creature effects or keeping Fleecemane Lion alive if facing burn spells.
Sideboard - I haven't got to test my sideboard out much so consider it still a work in process. Here I will list some ideas for sideboard rather than explain each card individually.
The primary feature of my sideboard is the switch from Hexproof-Auras to a Token deck. By swapping in Selesnya Charm, Advent of the Wurm, and Rootborn Defense (9 sideboards) and swapping out various combinations of Auras turns my deck from relying on big, stacked creatures to many smaller ones, making it harder vs control decks primarily.
The theory is that the core deck should be able to hold out vs Aggro and Burn due to the heavy amounts of lifelink and hexproof/unable to target effects but vulnerable to control via Thoughtseize, Devour Flesh, Supreme Verdict etc. so by making the deck less reliant on Auras, should make it easier to handle control decks.
