So I have made some adjustments to this and have made it into a standard dredge. The trick is to cheat in a gear hulk and have all the amalgams come out for explosive damage. Here's a breakdown of the cards and what they do.
Creatures
Cataclysmic Gearhulk: One of the targets of Refurbish works as a wrath effect, mainly to keep the board state even or in your favor.
Combustible Gearhulk: A beauty of an engine. Works either option your opponent chooses. If they allow you to draw, then you get to refill your hand. If they opt for the mill they take damage and hopefully put an amalgam or two in the graveyard.
Prized Amalgam: Made modern dredge dangerous, they are a brick house, enough said.
Haunted Dead: An alternative to using Refurbish to trigger the amalgams. A little cheaper and a great discard outlet.
Noxious Gearhulk: Running as a one of because that's all I have, it's there to pick off specific creatures. Might bump this up to 2 or 3 depending on the meta.
Insolent Neonate: This is an amazing little piece of tech. It's evasive, and when it can no longer compete with the bigger creatures, or is the target of removal, it becomes a card cycle.
Spells
Cathartic Reunion: Drawing 3 is great, and discarding two is also great for this deck. Allows your to dig deep and put what you need to in your graveyard.
Fiery Temper
: Simple creature removal that works well with discard. In a pinch can be used to go to the dome.
Nahiri's Wrath: Another wrath effect, and a discard outlet for the gear hulks, amalgams, and haunted dead.
Planar Outburst: A simple wrath. Got to keep the board clear until the big guys come down. Also, non-exile wraths don't really hurt this deck so why not.
Refurbish: One of two reasons to run white for the standard dredge. Allows you to pull up massive creatures on turn 4 and triggers the amalgams to come back.
Planeswalkers
Nahiri, the Harbinger: The other reason to run white. She has a cycle as her +2. Her -2 is great for exiling other threats. And her ultimate allows us to search up the gear hulk for the situation you need.
Lands
There are manlands incorporated just to finish off the job when needed. Speed is not really a priority with this deck.
If you have any advice, please let me know. Or if you like the deck give it a +1.
