Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
is the cornerstone for this deck, and the key to accelerating your mana to epic proportions.
Elvish Mystic + Sylvan Caryatid
should be used for early game mana acceleration before handing the wheel off to
Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
.
Boon Satyr
is another good early game drop adding two green devotion towards the shrine.
Use
Arbor Colossus
early on for protection, and as a card that adds three devotion to green, which will be useful in pumping out your powerhouse cards
Genesis Hydra
,
Hydra Broodmaster
, and
Heroes' Bane
.
For protection, I have
Archetype of Endurance
in the deck by default. In the sideboard I have
Ranger's Guile
in case you need more early game hexproof,
Skyreaping
for when you go up against a deck with lots a flyers,
Naturalize
for those pesky constellation decks, and
Phyrexian Revoker
for Planeswalkers,
Pack Rat
, or anything else with an annoying ability that you'd rather not deal with.
And then there's
Polukranos, World Eater
in case you need to wipe your opponents creatures from the board and then smash their life total into the negatives.
Chord of Calling
is great for searching your deck for something with which to obliterate your foes, and
Nylea, God of the Hunt
gives your huge creatures trample so you can stampede right over your opponent's puny creatures.
