Really nice deck. But i agree with Destroyer225 and put a Hydra Broodmaster in. BTW check out Selesnya Creature Token Power

I'm all in for the swaps, but what if I did a Sylvan Caryatid for a Bow of Nylea ? I am not really accepting of swapping out mana, and it BARELY raises the curve... thoughts?

Possibly. Swap 2 Sylvan Caryatid with 1 Bow of Nylea and 1 Hydra Broodmaster . That's what I would do.

Have you considered Glaring Spotlight for easy to kill creatures, team hexproof and unlockable. If you put them in, you could replace rouges passage with coloured land. It would make your assassin tokens a sure thing.

It has been considered, but the main reason I did NOT use that card is that Rogue's Passage give MANA, which throughout building and testing has proven invaluable. Thanks for the input though!

I like it it's alot like my standard competitive deck.

14 kill spells, all within reason. Devour Flesh =Bye bye Blood Baron of Vizkopa .Abrupt Decay = artifacts, even though they are rare in STD, and creatures.Hero's Downfall =planeswalkers and creatures.Golgari Charm =Nyx crap. no more enchantments.Thoughts?

U don't have Abrupt Decay though. U have 8x 3CMC kill spells & 2 Sac spells with a drawback. U don't really need the sac spells, that's what Desecration Demon is for, except it can occasionally on a rare instance attack. U also have 4 Golgari Charm which is an awesome card, but u don't need to MB the full play set. MB 2 SB 2.
Also u have 3x Vraska the Unseen who most of the time is a 5 CMC Vindicate . Which I won't deny often ends board stalls and can shift things in ur favor, but 3 of here is too many. U should swap 1 for another Kalonian Hydra which wins games.
I would run all 4 Sylvan Caryatid and find some space for 2x Courser of Kruphix . Ur deck is suppppper slow. 4x Thoughtseize would give u a T1 play.

WOW, thanks for the help. Most cards listed have already been considered. I have thought about Thoughtseize , but its mainly an expensive Duress , and if anything I would switch a Devour Flesh out for it. Please remember that this deck is BASED AROUND VRASKA, which is why I run 3. I exclude Abrupt Decay due to it being crappy late game, which with my luck would happen as a draw. I admit my deck is slow, but that's why I stack the kill spells! I early kill spell them, then bring out the powerful creatures! Follow up with a slowly building vraska, and then the assassin tokens finish it off as the main win con. I admit, the hydra and demon are in there for a second win con, but I see them as blockers, not swingers most of the time. Courser... well... it REALLY hurts knowing that your opponenent knows you have a kill spell in your hand... so that's why I don't use it...

lol To play Vraska the Unseen was my only reason I decided to play standard. I built my deck around her and like u it started with 3 copies, but after many many games with here I found that 1 is all u ever really need.
Weird thing though that the assassin tokens are your main win-con. In hundreds of matches, I've never once won threw her tokens. Though I have won threw Rogue's Passage countless times. I originally put it in for her tokens, ScOoze & Kalonian Hydra love it!
I come from a modern, where if Thoughtseize or Gitaxian Probe don't reveal your hand, people already know your deck list if it's a real deck anyway. I think if u get 3 more Scry temples you'll truely see the benefit of Courser of Kruphix

slightly different theme, I lean towards protect vraska for ultimate and you just ravage the creatures to insane amounts to win
May 9, 2014 10:49 p.m.
no vraska. Noone really sees decks based around her, just her being there

I like that someone is trying to get Vraska to see a bit more play, good card deserving of a little spotlight. I have a few thoughts. Grisly Transformation is kind of neat, but you already have Rogue's Passage for unblock able, and midrange decks like these are all fairly constrained on deck slots. I would take it out. Primeval Bounty is a good card, and will win you most games where you are able to resolve it, but it is still a six mana card that does nothing when it enters the battlefield, and there will be some games where it gets stuck in your hand and you'll wish you had something a little cheaper. I would consider putting the second on the sideboard for when you think you'll really want two copies. Last I'm not entirely sure why you feel the need for 4 Golgari Charms in your main deck. It is a good card certainly, but it is a very reactive card with only corner applications in some match ups.

ummm..a) STANDARD vraska b) I wouldn't splash for one or two card

that was for misthollow griffin. If I were to take charms out, what would I add in in G/B

Well Abrupt Decay is an incredibly versatile magic card, like Golgari Charm. If you just want more removal you could add some Ultimate Prices. I am fine with one or two Golgari Charms main, just four is a little much. Keep up to three available after sideboard.

Maybe you should take out one Sylvan Caryatid for a Hydra Broodmaster . Other than that this deck is pretty good. Maybe you could put in a Bow of Nylea for a Golgari Guildgate . This deck probably could win boosters in Friday night magics.
