Starfield of Nyx: Twilight

Standard WB (Orzhov)

Sideboard

Hey there TappedOut! This is my first Standard MTG deck, and I'd love to hear any constructive criticism on it.

I'm dead-set on building decks which utilize Starfield of Nyx as well as the constellation mechanic. This build uses Thoughtrender Lamia + Waste Not in order to churn through my opponent's hand, then exile most of it with regular cycling of Agent of Erebos . I'm hoping that Abzan Advantage will allow me to cycle cards back into my graveyard in order to trigger Dictate of Erebos, mostly to keep my opponent from maintaining much of a creature presence.

It feels a little cumbersome to rely on such extended combos, but I could use Heliod, God of the Sun + Virulent Plague , and just spend the to generate an enchantment creature token that would die & immediately activate Dictate of Erebos.

All in all, this feels a little too reliant on the Theros block... But since it's a constellation/enchantment creature deck, I don't mind all that much. I'm also trying to focus this deck solely on White/Black; I know I could dip into Green, but I feel like I'd theme that deck differently.

Some other options: I'm curious about adding in Eater of Hope instead, to keep a sacrifice presence on the board; I don't think it really synergizes well, though, considering how expensive it is. I'm thinking that maybe Dictate of Erebos + Font of Return might be a better combo to keep utilizing enchantments, but I think Heliod might be the best option; I can't think of other ways to generate enchantment creature tokens!

Gideon's Phalanx could also function as a board wipe, when paired with Dictate of Erebos + Virulent Plague !
