Legacy on a "budget:" Simple Stasis/Black Vise control deck. The Black Vise is the main win condition, with Stasis and Vedalken Mastermind providing the main control. Howling Mine makes players draw cards faster and thus makes the Black Vise more effective. Feldon's Cane prevents running out of cards yourself, and the Reliquary Towers allow you to have an unlimited hand size so you don't have to discard anything. 8 counterspells (4x Force of Will and 4x Daze) plus 2x Boomerang provide additional control to keep opponents locked down. The deck revolves around playing low/no cost cards to deal with the Stasis mana problem.

The deck list is currently slightly incorrect. There's at least one Chains of Vapor.

But now it's time to remove 4x Vedalken Mastermind and 3x Frozen Aether. This will be replaced with something like As Foretold, Propaganda, more Boomerangs/Chains of Vapor, and inclusion of Lotus Petals in the main deck list. Less creatures, more blocking. The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale would be a great defensive card, but at $1500, it's unlikely.

The Frozen Aethers could also be replaced with Thwart, for more counterspell fun.
